#loser drawsㅤ➶ㅤ|#yaelokre #keath osk #authortag #authors protagonist #author #protagonist #come south #digital art #fanart #artists on tumblr #grayscale art #value art #op thoughtsㅤ➶ㅤ|#i really like to draw protag . they are so expressive and i think drawing them sad has lowkey helped with my expressions #i fear that they dont look sad enough so the goal is to exaggerate and make them look as sad as i possibly can #with author i give them a sort of longing look . and i feel like in my authortag pieces the two seem to have quite static expressions #static in the sense that they seem to stay the same across all my drawings and i like this because its a particular thing thats important #when it comes to who they are as characters . protag is authors softer side . the side that author doesnt want to show #therefore protag is a little bit more tenderhearted but theyve got more passion and ability to take matters into their own hands #theyve picked up the pen and chosen to write their own story #versus author who has notedly been described as cowardly because of their hound of doubt . and theyre a bit more selfkept #but they also show this almost admiration of protag . and i think their dynamic being author and protag is so strong because of that #author gives protag their story because they are afraid to write it for themselves . and then protag takes that extra step that author didn #and they are doing what author was scared to do . write their own story for themselves. all while trying to encourage author to do the same #and for author its almost a sort of jealousy . almost envious . but i think its a message of growth revolving around author #and i think a better way to say it is dont let the hound of doubt take over you #but instead be open to facing the challenges and obstacles you come across. and may that be your wonder

Jaiden has a message for you

I realized that almost all artists (whether it's drawing, writing or something else) face this one moment of think they aren't good enough, because they look into someone else's work and compare it to theirs. And yes, I have been there too numerous times.

But I've come to realize, what would be the fun if everyone had the same art style? So, we gotta actually embrace our style. It's okay to want to improve and get better, but it's also important to value our unique styles and ideas too:)

So I dedify this post to every artist who's struggling with comparison and self doubt. You are amazing, your art is amazing, your writing is amazing, okay?

Here's the finished piece! You know that proud feeling you get when you finish something you've never done before and it actually comes out good? Well I feel that way! I'm really proud of how it turned out. It's not perfect but it's still pretty dang good!
