I need more information on Vamp!Soul please please PLEASEEEEEE

I'm using this as an excuse to lore drop what I've brainstormed for their AU & character so far.

TW: mentions of vampiristic blood drinking; Me, giving my sona way more impact in this story than I am legally allowed to do before it gets cringe.

Their relationship to other characters:

Currently involved with Horror, behind Nightmares back

Nightmares Ex (also rumored to be his Sire) and business associate

Has yet to meet Dream & his associates

General guidelines on their behavior/personality:

Bastardly smug piece of shit.

“I have a voice, for I must ragebait.”

Could buy you.

Has paintings of themselves hung around the castle to annoy their guests; never looks at the paintings themselves.

All I need to say is that they wear silver chains despite the risk of getting burnt by them. Can one be anymore bastardly.

Other:

Noble; owns a trading company. (Plus, established themselves as a fashion designer later on, ~1940.)

Lower stand than Nightmare, yet they keep working together; rumored to have turned Nightmare themselves. Soul being his sire would make him obligated to listen to at least some commands of them.

Soul themselves was turned in Ancient Greece.

They don’t enjoy hunting/scavenging for blood themselves, although they are not above going on a rampage.

They mostly get their blood through their servants; all of them are willing. (More or less. Soul pays well.)

Gender neutral in the way a masked person at the masquerade ball, standing in the corner and gazing over the crowd ominously is gender neutral.

Regularly hosts balls/galas; might’ve just started the cliche of vampires doing so themselves.

Mildly alcoholic. Shameless about it.

Does NOT care about their reputation (or wants to seem like that’s the case); regarded as a nuisance between higher ups, and a smug, stuck up tyrant in lower standings.

Politically untouchable thanks to their trading company being the largest internationally; also regularly smuggles illegal items for high tiers.

Rumored to have sired at least 25 vampires; mostly human nobles that paid high prices. (Soul themselves refuses to speak on that matter.)

Needs their servants to gel their hair & apply makeup. (Mirrors without silver bases don’t exist yet.)

Reads and writes; literature usually viewed as annoying commentary on various political topics.

General questions I’ve been asked about them:

“Are they AMAB or AFAB?” Assigned Bastard At Birth. ABAB

“Are they AroAce or only Ace?” Ace with very Aro tendencies. Not further defined.

“Do they enjoy drinking human blood?” Jup. Regularly mixes it in with alcohol (mostly red wine for aesthetic). Their fav is O+.

Their fangs can fold into the space between her lower canine and the tooth behind that one.

ALSO! That was the main starting point for the furry allegations in my irl friend group @imtrashraccoon 😔 there were rumors before but no allegations. (JOKES ON THEM I WILL MAKE THEM ALL A FURSONA AND GIFT IT TO THEM NO ONE CAN STOP ME)

Hello fellow enjoyer of Horror Sans and dragons! I have some questions about Vampire Soul and that AU in general, if you don't mind.

You said that they are involved with Horror without Nightmare knowing, correct? What would happen if Nightmare were to find out? Curious because they are at a lower position than Nightmare in their company, but also his sire (unless I misunderstood)

I assume that Horror also works at their company? Where is he on the hierarchy? Is he also a vampire? How would he react to Soul telling him that Nightmare knows about the two of them (when / if he eventually learns of them)? And are Killer and Dust in this AU too?

You also said Soul has yet to meet Dream. What would they think of Dream? Also, who else works with Dream in this AU? What kind of company does Dream run or what does he do?

Also one fun fact about them that hasn't been shared yet

This'll be a bit longer, so I'll put a cut here.

Now, the structure this: I’ll start with Nightmares and Souls history, and then move onto their hierarchy.

Souls & Nightmares history: Soul is not involved with Nightmare anymore. They were in a relationship ~500 years ago, when Soul turned Nightmare. Soul turned Nightmare out of a hunger for power (Also, Soul is ~1500 years older than Nightmare); They were growing their swarm (For lack of a better word) by turning new fledglings. Most were regular humans/monsters that could eb won over by some flattery, but since Nightmares magic was more potent thana regular monsters, and he was smarter, too, Soul had to get creative.

Soul is currently in a more sincere relationship with Horror; Nightmare knows. He's not bitter about it, since after when he was turned by Soul, he broke off their relationship himself.

Also, in terms of their hierarchy: While Nightmare has to obey Souls orders since they sired him, he is far more influential than them. Technically, Soul works for him outside their swarm. INSIDE the swarm, however, he has to listen to Souls orders.

The others:

Dream: He's half vampire. When Nightmare was turned, the magic had to balance itself. Since he was never physically turned, he only has some Vampire traits (e.g.: His reflection in silver mirrors is extremely faint, and while he doesn't have the need to feed on blood, he would benefit from it should he do so). Also, he can not turn others, since he's not a full Vampire.

Dream and the Stars (Blue; regular monster & Ink; not decided yet) function as vampire hunters. Dream will go undercover in swarms, posing as a newly turned, and try and deduce the swarms hierachy. Then, he and the others will eradicate the swarm from the bottom up.

Nightmare himself has sired Horror, Dust, and Killer. They still have to obey Nightmare, but should a command of Soul contradict his, they have to follow Souls command, since inside the swarm, they outrank him.

Cross is technically considered part of Souls swarm: He was most likely turned by one of her fledglings fledglings or similar. If he works for Nightmare under Souls command or sells information to Dream is up to reader/viewer interpretation.

How Nightmare and Dream interact: Dream plans to free his brother of his sires commands. Nightmare has to obey Souls order to protect them. He can not work with Dream to harm Soul in anyway; Physical harm, sharing information that might be used to harm them, etc. is not allowed. Dream does not know this.

Lastly, a funfact not yet shared about Vamp!Soul:

They eliminated their own sire. The Vampire that turned them left after turning them, without commanding them to protect him. Soul tracked and killed him and his sire before he could ever order them to leave him unharmed. That way, Soul effectively earned their independency; They're the oldest in their swarm, and have no sire above themselves left alive.

Also, Vamp!Soul is a narcissist to some extend, mildly alcoholic, and self conscious about their burn scars. They'll always wear gloves to hide the fact that during their first morning after turning, they stretched their hands into the sun without knowing they'd been turned. The burns never healed, and while in human form, they are one giant burn scar, in their monster form, the wound is covered in black fur that can not change it's coloration.

Vamp!Soul has sunburns on her hands. Big ones too.

Wave, ironically, can’t name a single seal species or tell sea lions form seals easily. She doesn’t need to, anyway.

Fae!Soul often goes nonverbal to avoid accidental deals.

Irene could almost be considered a pyromaniac. Her preferred way of disposing of issues is fire.

Ancient!Soul has wings, and is literally cursed to protect Percy. She does so gladly- the underground did just loose a war against humans after all- but always wonders if her desire to protect him is the curse or the fact he genuinely is like a younger brother to her. These thoughts get especially heavy in Genocide runs, where she takes Sans’ place as the judge in the end game.

Perle is an occasional smoker and suffers from light internalized homophobia. She lived during the 1920s, what did you expect?
