Hi and welcome to my blog!

I’ve decided that it’s time for me to make a head post for this blog, and to organize my tags a bit :)

I go by They/Them & She/Her pronouns (Genderfluid questioning), and my English might lack in some place, my mother tongue is German!

I am also a minor.

I’ve taken a break from politics a few days for my own mental health, and once I decide to check what has been going on in my country, I hear this:

They are cutting our healthcare.

not just that they are cutting physical healthcare, thanks to the new reform, it is now almost impossible to get a therapy appointment, psychologists or any kind of mental health support.

I hate saying this about anyone, but I truly believe it: Merz now has blood on his hands.

I have and have had various friends struggling with their mental health. Those that did not get help killed themselves. I was almost among those. I heard someone cry on the phone because they didn’t know what to do. I got ‘good bye’ messages and couldn’t get to them, and they never picked up again. I have called someone and talked to them, and they sent me a photo of their noose and said if I hadn’t picked up, they would’ve done it.

I myself was in a very bad place a few years ago. I tried the damn Suicide Prevention Hotline in Germany (Seelensorgetelefon) and the woman that picked up laughed at and insulted me. I was belittled and told my problems weren’t real, and I was told to ‘grow up, damn it’.

I swallowed a pack of small batteries a few minutes after. I did not have an actual therapy place, because my school couldn’t handle that. Because people thought my condition wasn’t that bad. Because no one listened. I swallowed batteries intending to die. As you can see, it did not work out.

If anything, there will be more people dying from this. By passing this reform, everyone that did not oppose it has made themselves a murderer, and I stand by that.

I will repeat that, they are cutting mental health services. Not that those aren’t already underfunded and terrible, but I know, that if I had had a proper therapy place, I would not have attempted. I would not have to watch or hear five people (whom I will not name for their own sake) die.

I am furious, if you couldn’t tell, and might take a break for my own mental health from anything.

I don’t care if you’re affected by this, I need to ask you to check up on your friends. I need to ask you to be there for them.

If you are affected by this, I need to beg you to search for help. I can not guarantee that you will find perfect solutions, but there is always someone willing to help.

This is not a canon ending to Irene’s story. However, it is an ending that she narrowly avoided.

Also this is the answer to this:

I’d like to refer everyone to this post about how shifters, including Irene, work in these AUs (in my mind).

Did you know that, when pointing out where your heart is, the most common mistake is pointing to much to the left? Well, since Irene’s most active node is located in her heart, and the situation she was in demanded she break open her node to safe herself (and a few others), she wanted to do just that.

However, in this ending, she missed by a few inches due to miscalculation, and instead of pulling of a Hail Mary mission, she just stabbed herself.
