Monster High!Valkyries au
Lily Evans as Draculaura
i haven't wrote vampire!jegulily before (other than in tdwaaf ofc) soo. it was time.
A hand with almost see-through skin clawed out of the sleek, black coffin. Sharp, red fingernails stretched like claws of an animal. The hand grasped the top of the coffin and pushed it open wide.
James jumped back, stake still firmly in his grip.
The vampire didn't leap from the coffin, as James had found many did. Instead he peaked the top of his head out, revealing only up to his eyes. A silver-blue, with pupils twice the size of a human. Wavy, black hair stuck to the vampire's forehead and curled around his ear.
James had lowered the stake without realising.
And the vampire raised slightly, his entire head now sticking out. James noticed the blood, dried and stuck to the vampire's lips. One fang poked out of the frown on his face. His face was skinny, reminiscent of a living skeleton.
James took a step closer, curiosity on his face.
The vampire wasn't attacking. He sat there, peering at James like there wasn't a stake in his hand.
But then the vampire lifted upwards more, half his chest now showing. The two fang marks on his neck were in clear view. And he was dressed in a silk, white shirt. Rich in quality, but very modest in extravagance.
James took a few steps back, the vampire slowly rising higher and higher to his feet. Until something hit into James back, he turned quickly.
Another coffin. He hadn't noticed there were two. Vampires were private, usually living alone.
This coffin was a dark brown, decorated with engraved patterns. And the top flew open in a second. A woman stood up, red hair flowing in curls, bright green eyes staring at him. She had darker skin than the other vampire and her pupils only a tiny bit bigger than a human; she looked less dead. It was only by the two fangs that poked from her lips as she smiled that revealed what she was. Her nails were short, painted in a light blue. And there was no blood on her. She was dressed in a white dress, lace and silk layered. On her neck, strangely, was only one fang mark.
A thump came from behind James and he turned again to see the first vampire leaning against his coffin like he was bored.
Another thump from behind him and again he turned, to find the second vampire now out of her coffin and right behind him.
James held up the stake with confidence.
The vampire titled her head to the side, "Are you going to stab me?"
"Yes."
Her smile grew, it seemed sweet and friendly, "Such confidence. However, I'm afraid I don't want to be stabbed at the present moment."
James frowned, looking down at the stake, "But- It's my job. I'm a hunter. You're a vampire."
She shrugged, "But, you understand, I don't really want to be stabbed."
"You don't get a choice!"
"Well that's highly unfair!" She scoffed.
James turned to the other vampire, "Is she always like this?"
The other vampire smirked, now sitting on the edge of his coffin, "Yes. Astounding, isn't she?" As he opened his mouth, James noticed his other fang seemed to be broken in half, no longer pointed.
"Yeah", James exhaled.
"I'm Lily", the vampire held out her hand, "He's Regulus."
James didn't think about what he was doing as his instinctively shook her hand, "James. Nice to meet you."
"Is it?" She laughed, delighted.
James ran a hand through his hair, "Um."
The other vampire hopped off his coffin and took a step closer, "James. Welcome to our house. Although I would've preferred a knock first."
"Oh, I'm sorry... Wait. You're vampires that I'm hunting, why would I knock?"
Lily closed her coffin shut and turned to James, "Well it's only manners."
Regulus walked over to the doors of the room, "Would you like to join us for breakfast?"
He nodded, almost eagerly before frowning at himself for wanting to dine with a vampire couple.
"I don't have to drink blood, do I?"
Lily laughed, her fangs on full display, long and sharp, "Not unless you want to, James."
