HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONDO!! Drew him in every AU iv made for em!
Imagine Taka begging for food during that infamous hypno day. Taka going up to another student while they eat their lunch and pointedly staring at them for an uncomfortably long time. The student doesn't understand why he's staring, but as soon as they look away Taka snatches their food off the tray and runs off. Rinse and repeat.
KIYOTAKA ISHIMARU COMMITS A CRIME
And he was going to say something very important to the student. Like telling them not to be so roudy in the cafeteria but....The food looks so tasty...And he is rather hungry....But no! He’s not going to beg a student for their food! He’s above that!!!
And Taka’s just standing there, his moral compass fighting against the dog brain. Staring into space. It’s kinda creepy.
The student looks away for 0.0001 seconds. Turns back around only to see a hall monitor jogging out of the cafeteria and a suspicious lack of hamburger on their plate.
Mondo’s walking after him “Taka what do you have in your mouth?”
Taka walks faster.
And honestly? Taka deserves a feral day. He’s tired of being nice, he deserves to go apeshit
Two vampire boys
I saw this post and it immediately made me think of Vampire!Mondo
A vampire carpenter...Perfect. I love it.
Like, once he’s done with all the gang stuff, it’d make sense that he’d start specializing in supernatural friendly carpentry. Because a lot of the monster friendly stuff is WAY too expensive, because people know there aren’t many options, so they can afford to make ridiculously high prices. Light proof coffins can cost 3 times as much. Some restaurants make you pay more to NOT have garlic in your food.
So a way to give back to his community, outside of patrolling the streets, would be to start making basic life necessities for non-humans.
And really, it’s an unexplored market, because for most companies it’s too ‘unsightly’ to specifically market to the supernatural. But screw it, Mondo doesn’t give a shit about being slightly. He does whatever the hell he wants.
And he doesn’t just stop and vampire specific items. Vampire safe coffins, fang caps for kids whose fangs just came in and they’re biting their tongues constantly, wooden tools and doorknobs so fae don’t constantly burn themselves on iron; Mondo does it all. He gets popular real quick, because there’s so many people who need products like that. Popular enough that, only a few years after starting, he stops working out of the garage and buys his own workshop.
And while Taka works as Prime Minister to regulate the bias against non-humans in the workforce, Mondo goes out of his way to employ a full supernatural group to help him with his workshop. At least half of his workers are former Crazy Diamond members.
(For their anniversary, Mondo gives Taka a pair of custom made nail clippers, since human ones don’t really work for him. It’s the first time Taka’s had nail clippers made for a werewolf, not just something he got from a petstore. If Mondo wasn’t used to it, Taka bursting into tears at the gift would’ve been worrying.)
Mondo runs damage control that day since Taka is a bit too emotional to do it himself. Apologizing on his behalf after he bit someone for the umpteenth time, refilling holes Taka made in the student garden, etc. Mondo makes sure to fess up to faculty and other students as to why Taka was acting like this in order to keep him from getting into trouble.
Local overtired vampire teen babysits his wolf friend.
Poor freaking Mondo. He has to stay up ALL DAY with Taka. Utterly ruins his sleep schedule. He’s VERY tempted to just put Taka on a leash, but he’s pretty sure that’d be rude.
Mondo, Chi, Hiro, and Aoi are the main damage control squad for the day. Taka’s always doing so much to help them, so it’s only fair to help him when he needs it. That said, it’s sure not easy. Taka has inhuman energy, 100% zoomies all day seemingly.
Taka’s trying to keep it under control but...it’s not working. At all. One minute he goes from “Oh my god I am so sorry I don’t know why I did that-” to “no thoughts, I’m going to chase after Toko because her hair looks fun and if you touch me I will bark”
Mondo spends like 20 minutes trying to stop whatever he did to his bro. It doesn’t work because, again, Mondo never actually praticed his hypnosis. So they’re kinda just hoping it’ll wear off soon. Or they’ll get Sayaka to erase whatever he did (I’m just going to say Sayaka has some siren-y powers, so she actually knows how to use hypnosis unlike some people), but she won’t be back for a few days because of a out of town show.
It’s a long day. Leon plays fetch with him for an hour and Taka’s not even slightly tired. Hiro tries to help, but Taka tackles him so hard for the ball that he’s knocked out for 20 minutes.
Taka tried to confiscate a chocolate donut from Hina during class, but the dog instinct kicked in. Now Hina’s chasing Taka around the school trying to get the donut because she doesn’t know if he can eat chocolate or not
And people are definetly noticing the odd behaivor, and they definetly think it’s hilarious. Which just makes Taka nervous because oh god this is going to be another Ishimaru scandal and everyone’s going to think I’m some beast. And an anxious wolf is far more likely to bite. Mondo has saved SEVERAL people from a nasty bite by picking Taka up like an oversized puppy.
(He’s also broken several phones to make sure recordings don’t get out, but don’t tell Taka that)
All and all, they learnd how it feels to be the responsible one for the day. They all desperately want Taka back.
(Taka remembers it all afterwards. He’s not happy to say the least. Even if it was under Mondo’s influence, he still blames himself)
