Ryan follows Brendon down the hall and he pauses when he hears a familiar voice. He turns to look at the two and recognizes Victoria, her dark hair cascading down her shoulders and Pete, a relatively new fledgling. Hadn’t there been an accident involving Pete and the the brunette with the legs? “Nowhere, just heading for a stroll around the mansion,” he answers. Victoria watches the two impassively. “Towards the doors, hmm?”
Gabe’s completely lost and his brain is filled with a foggy haze. He bites his lip until it bleeds, the scent of blood filling the room like a thick metallic smoke. He pushes back again, his body wound tight and trembling. “You should,” he agrees, but notes that neither of them make a move to untangle themselves. “Or…you could stay,” he says. “Or I could suffer another panic induced trauma and have to spend the night in your room again,” he teases. Gabe’s always had a relatively dry sense of humour.
Reply:
Pete raises an eyebrow, looking them over. He’s disappointed that they were turned before he could get to them. Hot pieces of ass. “Yeah? Just a stroll?” he says, noting the bed hair both of them are sporting. Brendon just nods, looking between them and Ryan, fixing his shirt nervously.
Travis feels himself tense up, every single muscle, tensing and tugging as he smells the blood, he tests himself, tilting Gabe’s chin and lapping over the small spots of blood trickling from his lips. His brain is hazy in the kiss, he can’t think of anything other than how fucking good it tastes. He breaks away, chest heaving, sucking in a breath and tightening his grip on Gabe’s hips as his hands return there instead. “You want me to leave? Be honest.” he murmurs, eyes darker now, pupils blown.
Ryan touches his fingertips to his lips and looks up at Brendon, his eyes smiling with amusement. “You’re blunt,” he states, dropping his hand. “I already like you. I wouldn’t be here with you if I didn’t.”
Gabe’s panic is slowly ebbing away, his breathing and his heart rate slowing down to more of a normal pace. He kept his forehead on his knees, swimming in the brief lightheadedness that came from getting the proper amount of oxygen. He’s still wound up too tightly, his shoulders tight and his body rigid. “I gave you permission,” he stresses, not wanting Travis to think he was being difficult. The vampire’s words struck him as a bit odd because why? Why would Travis want to hold /him/? Surely William was dying for the attention and Gabe could barely ask for it without sounding vaguely challenged. He’d never been able to ask for what he wanted. Take what you get, boy, and be content.
reply:
The young vampire grins, his eyes as bright as they can be. “You do? Fuck. Cool. Wanna kiss some more?” he grins, climbing into Ryan’s lap like an excited puppy, both his arms going around the others waist, leaning in and kissing his neck with a hum. Vampire’s kissing necks is therapeutic, comforting. Even when biting isn’t involved.
Travis nods like he understands but he doesn’t. All he know’s is Gabe is allowing this so he tucks his chin over the mans shoulder and hugs him from behind, body curling against him, protecting Gabe from anyone or anything that could possibly attempt to hurt him. Protecting Gabe from everything except Travis. “Victoria told me she’s never seen me smile like I did last night, at the courtyard, when you were smiling at me back. She’s known me 105 years. She was watching from the window and... fuck, she’s right. I guess she’s right.” His voice is calm, quiet and soft, inviting Gabe to reply.
