...And over the next few nights he sends a carriage so that I can visit him and he can walk me through his vast garden in the moonlight... Until one night he puts his face in my hands and weeps and reveals he is a vampire and therefore an unlovable monster I should save my heart from, though he would rather be staked through the heart than do me harm... And I kiss him on the forehead and tell him I'd spend an eternity with him if he'd let me... And we dance like we had the night we met and he lightly kisses my neck but stops himself and carries me to bed and kisses me on the lips and keeps me company until I fall asleep... Then one day he asks to marry me and I say yes and he turns me and we spend the rest of time together...
