For a little context, this comes from a WIP about Vampire William Regal and his human boyfriend. I've been itching to write something involving Vampires for a long time. This is the first very rough draft of an idea.

“Have you ever turned someone?”
William doesn’t immediately answer. Regret for the decisions made by a naive boy stealing his voice. It was a different time. If you wanted to survive then you’d do anything, no matter your personal feelings about it. His eyes flicker down to quietly watch the small movement of his thumb brushing over your thigh. He’s stalling.
“Ashamedly, I have. None of them were allowed a choice in the matter.”
