I love the fact that nandor, nadja, laszlo, and colin robinson keep a history of themselves. We see in the opening they have countless personal artifacts and pictures, we see their house decorated with themselves- its not (just) vanity, its probably because when you live forever things get blurry eventually. All these captured moments of who they were, how they dressed, who they hung out with, how they looked when they smiled, its all in the hopes of creating a mental view of themselves. An idea of who they were, who they maybe are, that is a necessity for a species that cant just look in the mirror and check.

Its also probably the in universe reason this documentary is being filmed. Nandor, nadja, and laszlo probably decided to have a documentary made about themselves, colin robinson and guillermo being included bc they lived there, for the same reason they commissioned oil paintings or have taxidermied animals that mean something to them. Colin robinsons filing cabinet in his room is probably full of his own collection- including lots of polaroids, seen both in the intro and when he takes pictures of their trip to atlantic city, which we see in the closing credits. Guillermo probably went along w it bc of nandor, but the documentary crew definitely used him as the anchor point- hes the first person to appear onscreen, the first to get a talking head, the first perspective we get to see from, and i know now im just talking abt the actual shows writing but in universe its why he acknowledges the cameras most (also probably bc theyre the most human contact that didnt end in vampire-related death in ten years)

Idk i just think its such a charming idea to give them this aspect of wanting to keep a history.

I for one cant wait until season 4 w a nadja- led storyline exploring how she was turned, nandor and guillermo having a weird but sweet arc where guillermo teaches nandor how to be human while nandor accepts his feelings for guillermo and realizes that he really wants to be w him forever and then they have a heart to heart and get together, and laszlo raising a baby colin robinson (who emerged from colin robinsons body like a crysalis) and hijinks ensue!!!!!!!!
