okay I think we all can agree that there needs to be more on vampire vulcans/romulans 👀 your thoughts dear author ???
Oh, I have so many. Like SO MANY. But here are a few before I try and get some sleep.
So Vulcans First:
- They’d be logical about the whole Need To Feed and tend to do it in private.
- BUT given that Vulcans as they are in the Star Trek universe are vegetarians, it would stand to reason that they’d do the whole blood-from-donors/blood-in-a-bag thing rather than drinking directly from another person.
- Drinking straight from a person is considered to be extremely personal/intimate and is usually only done during pon farr and/or between bonded couples.
- Different types of blood taste different: Human, Vulcan, etc. and because of the differences between Human and Vulcan blood, Human blood tastes *chef’s kiss* 🤌💋
- Just like there are Vulcans who are intrigued by humanity/who are extremely dtf with Humans (like Solkar who straight up made out with a Human during First Contact because hand kisses) there are Vulcans who are very down to take a Human as a mate so they can taste the Forbidden Human Blood.
- As with sex, Vulcan vampires are hesitant to talk about/engage in feeding unless it’s with someone they trust in a very private area. But as with sex, once they get started, they’re absolute fiends.
And Now Romulans:
- Unlike their Vulcan counterparts, Romulans assign emotions like passion and primal desire to feeding and lean into it hedonism style.
- While they still see feeding directly from a person to be extremely intimate, and they do usually drink from a bag, they aren’t quite as prudish. Meaning they aren’t shy about doing so in less private settings.
- The reason they usually still drink from a bag stems from their cultural distrust of others. They see it as a weakness to depend on/have to trust others with something as important as feeding, which is why consistent, straight-from-the-person feeding is reserved for romantic intimacy.
- I can totally see Romulans using their vampirism as more of a tease than the Vulcans. (Light scrapes of their fangs over a potential mate’s skin, showing off their fangs while they smirk, that sort of thing.)
- Romulans like to pretend that Human blood doesn’t taste different or better than other types, but it’s definitely bordering on a taboo sort of kink for them. With all their pride, they can’t bring themselves to admit that another species is superior in something as intimate as Blood Flavor. Humans: The Superior Vintage™
