HorrorVale OC concepts I sketched on my phone. A vampire pumpkin and a vampire watermelon.
In the folklore of the Balkans, vampire fruits are fruits, generally pumpkins or watermelons, that take on life and gain a taste for blood. The origins of this belief are unclear, but is most widely believed among travelling people.
There are several explanations as to why fruits come to life, but the most common one is if a pumpkin is kept after Christmas, it will become a vampire. Likewise, fruits left out after dark may come to life. A spot of blood on the skin of a pumpkin or watermelon indicates that they have become a vampire.

At work I found a hissing watermelon while I was working. So I decided to cut it open and it was as if the juice inside was boiling
