Owen winched slightly from the ache in his bandaged neck as he laid down in Lewis bed, getting comfortable as he prepared for a rather long nap “now that I'm like you.. no one will hurt you again. I'll make sure of it."

Lewis smiled softly at the new vampire, patting Owen on the hand "that's.. kind of you. but try not to concern yourself too much. you need to rest. the gift will heal you with time, but it needs you to rest for it to work."

Owen nodded, laying his head against the pillow "when I wake, I'll make sure you're safe for eternity. I'll protect you."

Lewis brushed a hair out of Owen's face, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead "and I you."

Owen smiled, letting his eyes close as he took a deep breath and let himself drift off to sleep

Some days later, Owen squinted as he awoke, the plush bed in Lewis' room shifting underneath him as he sat up. He groggily reached for the oil lamp on the night stand, turning it on to push the shadows away. The freshly awoken vampire took a deep breath before examining his hand in the light.

his eyes widened as for the first time, his skin was perfectly clear. paled in his new form, but void of diseased blemishes.

"lewis!" he called out, throwing the soft blanket off and jumping to his feet "lewis it worked im- im cured!" he ran a hand through his hair, grinning as he opened the door to the hall "lewis...?" his brow scrunched.

perhaps lewis was in a meeting... after all owen must've been asleep for a while, and lewis WAS the mayor. he couldn't be expected to stay by his side for days.. or weeks... how long HAD it been..?

Owen walked the halls of the large house. looking for his love with increasing worry.

"mayhaps he's just gone for a walk." owen muttered to himself, shoving on a jacket before stepping out into the cool evening air.

it was getting late and yet... the sky was so bright... and the air smelled of smoke

Owen's eyes widened as he began to rush towards the source of the flame.

right in the center of town was.. a bonfire...? what was that shape in the center...?

"OWEN!" some towns folk called out, causing the vampire's head to snap in their direction "you're alive!"

"Of course I'm alive, why wouldn't I be?"

"we thought-" they glanced towards the fire. their shoulders slumped in... guilt? Why would they feel guilty? "oh lord forgive us.."

"what are you-" Owen turned back to the burning shape... it was.. humanoid... it. couldnt be

"you were gone so long and he was the last person you were seen with.."

it couldn't be....

"we thought he had hurt you Owen.."

"....what have you done "

another thing to note: even throughout most of vampire/human separation war shit legundo and owen have tried their best to understand eachother (owen trying to show that legundo can save so many people through vampirism and not turning anyone without consent really. legundo trying to show owen he cares and trying to cure him and showing he's worried)

A small number of Vampires SMP ending ideas that I do not believe will ever happen, but I think would be fun anyway (I do have serious thoughts but this is not any of them)

Spoilers for episode 3 ahead

Cleo finds Pearl, drags her to the edge of the map, declares neutrality, and the pair leave everyone else to kill each other while making the cutest house resources allow for. Cleo violently enforces their fenceline, and Pearl lives out her cottagecore dreams, and occassionally some of the livestock show up dead. Once one side has obliterated the other, they make some sort of peace with the survivors, else keep running until they can escape. Or just escape, Cleo's family have providence for that. Unfortunately, needing to make more episodes makes this unlikely, as does the fact Cleo might be practical but they unfortunately also have a sense of responsibility (though who to remains to be seen).

Turns out vampires were never the actual curse. Once things crescendo, a hoard of zomvies appear, killable but respawning to put them in their hundreds or thousands. Congrats it's now zombie apocalypse survival horror, and those people you were just fighting with? You need them to survive.

Owen and the Doctor get into an even messier situationship. Somehow this solves the problem. Unfortunately I'm not sure it can do so without bloodshed, given Avid... If Avid admits that any vampires are not evil, then it means he did not need to kill his partner. So he cannot admit that. Else, doing so would destroy him in a very different way. Still, I believe in the pair. Whether it be a cure or proving coexistence is real or whatever, I believe something good COULD come of it (but only if Cleo doesn't sire Legs first, because otherwise even if he does somehow make a cure the humans won't believe it, as deep in paranoia as they are).

I fucking knew it.

I knew that Avid would be "safe" from the vampires for a period of time. That they would find ways to mentally torture him before turning him. And the fact majority, if not all, believe him?? AMAZING We got a confession from Owen AND A death threat. We SAW Pyro and Scott sandwich them on the bridge before Apo shoved Pyro off. God, shes so badass. ANYWAYS HOLY SHIT THAT EPISODE WAS CHAOS I wonder who the newest vampire is. I've only seen Avid's pov so far. I gave a feeling its either Apo or Pearl and im going to be sad either way
