On the aforementioned road trip, we drove through Vanceboro and passed by this interesting building. Googling came up with this great Facebook post from a Vanceboro native.
When we drove back through, we noticed a "For Rent" sign in the building's driveway. I had never been in Vanceboro before that day, but I really hope whoever eventually rents out that building doesn't completely erase any signs of it's past.
