Amuro hadn’t been back on Earth since the entire escapade of Operation Odessa, Jaburo, and the like. But since the battle at Solomon, he’s found himself wanting to go back.
Prince Rupert was a strange town for somebody like the Ray family to grow up in - but it was his old stomping grounds, until his dad had to be moved when Gundam production had to be ramped up, and the architect of it, or at least, one of the architects, needed to be closer. Aside from a garrison for the Federation forces there looking for a quick stop within the straits of the North Coast of British Columbia, it was an area of little strategic importance - therefore it was avoided of most of the conflicts found further south.
He gets off at the space port, and once again the grey skies and the rain welcome him. Invariably, he hadn’t checked the weather, but it felt nostalgic nonetheless. After being in space for so long, living in a side and then going further into the black abyss, being grounded and being somewhere as beautiful and as quiet as this was a relief.
As he sits waiting for a bus to come and take him to one of the hotels closer towards downtown, he can see somebody taking notes further down the bus stop. Of course, Amuro had long discarded his Federation bomber jacket - feeling no such desire to have people ask about his service as a mobile suit pilot, and wanting to simply leave it in the past where he wish that it could belong. This person further down seemed to be wearing a jacket with some sort of Federation patch on it though...he doesn’t try to think about it though. Simply waiting for a bus to come.
