early bedtimes, morning workouts, healthy packed lunches, 8-step skin care, neutral tone manicures, yoga class on Sundays, long sauna session, and phone on DND ✨🍨🌸
Time for a January Reset
2025 was rough. My habits are in shambles and my mental health is at an all time low.
Time to do some rebuilding. In 2026 we are…
Putting the phone down, limiting screen time
Fixing our sleep, early to bed & early to rise
Exercising for mental/physical health
Eating 3 meals a day (real food, real meals, less processed snacks)
Drinking our water (60-80oz minimum)
Doing our skin care every day (am & pm)
Managing stress with positive coping, and ending the cycles of stress/anxiety/hustle
Daily wins: woke up early, made coffee at home, finished clinical reflection packet, successful clinic day, made dinner at home, read 1 chapter of my goal book, studied cardiac module for nursing interventions (diagnostics PTCA, TEE, cardiac pharmacology, MIs/Angina pectoris). Evening routine and yoga.
You need to show up for yourself. Every single day you need to show up as the person you’re meant to be.
You have goals to travel in your career, but you don’t study beyond the required. You’re not seeking out the extra certifications that would make you more employable. You dream about having a stronger, better body. But you can’t convince yourself to do a 5-minute workout on the living room floor. You choose to indulge on the weekends instead of using your time to meal prep for the week. Every day you check off the boxes, but you don’t strive to go further. You want to be more confident in your life but you live in your head, dreaming about some perfect tomorrow while you refuse to make progress today. You want to have sleek hair, clear skin, and manicured nails. But you won’t branch out, you throw your hair in a ponytail every morning before going to your shift. You don’t paint your nails because you think you can’t spare five minutes. You don’t use your medicated skin care because you can’t be bothered. You have piles of books, but you spend all your time scrolling. You have goals to strengthen your relationships, but you’d rather waste time chasing internet recognition. Every day you spend hours curating your Pinterest boards, but you can’t put 10 minutes into planning your tasks for the day.
