This plant with it’s beautiful leaves that remind me of a butterfly and a bird all at the same time. Powerful totems for me and creatures I could spend hours watching. The leaves of the Vanilla Leaf Plant (Achlys Triphylla- Sometimes called Sweet After Death- Washington State Native Plant) have become a strange new comfort to me both in aesthetics, energy and smell. I’m simply enamored by her. Once dry she smells faintly of sweet Vanilla. Throughout the day I find myself picking her up just to self soothe with her smell. Once dried I will use some as incense, in herbal smoking blends, and ritual/ceremony use. A plant of Venus and the element of Water it has a very loving and soft feminine energy I find to be nothing short of comforting, like Mana Gaia is holding you in a tender hug. Lovely plant spirit that repels mosquitos too! That’s definitely a plus 😉I’m thinking about making some changes to the shop and I would love to hear some feedback as to whether or not I should add some of these simple herbal offerings to share with others who might like to try them.
