I study plants, tropical plants, and that means that sometimes I find weird crazy things that doesn't appear in any book.
The tree here gives some little red fruits, that with enough humidity, open in something that looks like a flower. The fruit and the leaves are totally pubescent (which means hairy, as you can see in the first and second picture) Idk, I felt like posting my pictures here in case someone in the vast ocean of the internet has seen something similar. Unfortunately, I totally forgot to take pictures of the leaves, so I can't ask for professional identification yet. Next time I go to the same place I will analyze this little friend better because I swear I have never seen anything like this.
My guess is that this tree is from the Solanaceae family, genera Solanum, because it looks somewhat similar to Solanum quitoense. Found it at an altitude of approximately 2200 m. in an Andean cloud forest.
