This fruit salad with vanilla rooibos syrup and rosemary is a lovely way to celebrate any event. When rosemary and vanilla are mixed together, they give the fresh, colorful fruits a unique, holiday flavor. It's a simple but classy dish that will wow your guests and make your party taste even better.
Ingredients: 4 cups mixed festive fruits e.g., strawberries, kiwi, pomegranate seeds, and orange segments. 2 sprigs fresh rosemary. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup water. 2 vanilla rooibos tea bags.
Instructions: Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan and mix them together. Over medium-low heat, bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar is gone. The vanilla rooibos tea bags and rosemary sprigs should be added to the syrup as it is simmering. Let them steep for 10 minutes so the flavors can really come through. Take the pan off the heat and let the syrup cool all the way down. Take out the tea bags and rosemary sprigs once the tea is cool. Get the fruit ready: Remove any seeds or pits from the fruits and cut them into any shape you like. In a big salad bowl, put the fruits that have been cut up. Pour the rosemary and vanilla rooibos syrup that has been allowed to cool over the fruit. Carefully toss the fruit to cover it with the syrup all over. Put the fruit salad in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors mix. Add a fresh rosemary sprig to the fruit salad before serving to make it look even more festive. You can serve the fruit salad as a cool and tasty addition to your holiday party.
