Time for an 🚨OFFICIAL TRAILER!🚨 The Vanishing Act is a brand new 12-part audio drama coming for free wherever you get podcasts on August 3rd!
In 1699, a magician at the height of his fame vanishes in the middle of his act—along with his entire audience. In 1933 Berlin, August "Augie" Eckhart finds himself in possession of a set of notes that might explain how he did it...if Augie can get over his own hubris enough to find someone who actually speaks French. Crossing paths with an American con-man, an unfortunately-named engineer, a British novelist, and a psychic duck, the journey takes him across Berlin, Paris, Hollywood, and maybe time and space as they all attempt to unfold the mystery of THE VANISHING ACT.
A farce, a historical satire, a con, and a disappearing act all at once, the show finds a slew of off-color characters at odds with art, fame, magic, and history in the making! August 3rd!
Written by: Ian Geers and Lauren Grace Thompson. Designed by Daniel Ett-Williams. Music by Baldemar. Voices featured in the trailer: Sarah Price, Daniel Millhouse, Tina Munoz Panyda, Shawn Pfautsch, Chris Vizurraga, Eric Eilersen, Rob Kazulauric, Sam Hubbard, Lauren Grace Thompson.
A Theatrical Disaster! A Disappeared Magician! A Pretentious Artist(s)! Obsessed with a 200-year-old historical footnote, Augie Eckhart grapples with the changing tide of 1930’s Berlin in the rehearsal room--and at an ex’s birthday party--only to be brought face to face with a face from his past he’s only too happy to face...🎩

SPOILERS RE: CONTENT NOTES
Conrad’s fiancee, Phoebe, died as the result of a Romeo and Juliet type situation where they were both supposed to fake their deaths and run away together. This occurs at the end of the episode and takes place during a montage sequence beginning with the clear sound of a bell.
