It doesn’t matter that you are a beginner vaper or an experienced one especially when you bought a new vaping device. As all of us want to make sure that we are doing everything right even while cleaning our newly purchased equipment. There is no need to worry because cleaning a vape pen is not an overly complicated task. You only need half an hour from your tight schedule and a few household items.
As we all know that there are hundreds of different vape pens on the market, but we can neatly classify them all into three different categories such as:
➢ Vape e-juice vape pens
➢ Dry herb vape pens
➢ Concentrate vape pens
All these vape pens are used for different purposes like vape juice vape pens are used for evaporating e-liquid, dry herb vape pens are used with dry materials and concentrate vape pens are used with shatter, wax, and resin.
Cleaning all of these vape pens are quite similar with little variations. Here I am going to discuss the process of cleaning e-juice vape pens and concentrate vape pens
Cleaning Your E-Juice Vape Pen
There are two types of e-juice vape pens. One is pens with a detachable tank and other is pens with non- detachable tank.
Non-Detachable Tank E-Juice Vape Pens - These pens have an integrated tank with the battery. Since you can’t wash them under running water or soak them. We have to clean them with a damp Q-tip so it might take a little while.
Detachable Tank E-Juice Vape Pens - Here are the steps of cleaning detachable tank e-juice vape pens
➢ Firstly, we have to disassemble the tank and remove it from the battery. Make sure to remove the atomizer from the tank if you plan on using it again – if it gets wet, you’re going to have to wait until it dries out.
➢ Separate all the parts and soak all of them in a bowl of warm water.
➢ Add some vinegar, alcohol, or baking soda if they are really dirty. After about an hour of soaking, use a small toothbrush and scrub them.
➢ Utilize a damp cloth to clean the battery and make a point to splash any abundance fluid that stays on it since you would prefer not to harm the hardware. Take a Q-tip and wipe down the connectors on the tank and the battery. Likewise, check if there's any leftover fluid on the battery – if there is, your tank may spill so check for that and supplant it if necessary.
➢ To speed up the drying out process, utilize a paper towel to wipe down every one of the parts. Leave them unassembled for a couple of hours and then put them back together. You now have a clean vape pen that will work predictably!
Cleaning a Concentrate Vape Pen
As I said earlier that concentrated vape pens are used for wax and other same types of material; it’s cleaning process is a bit longer as compared to the other types of pens. It is because of wax, shatter, and resin are all sticky and can really get caked in there.
➢ First of all, activate your pen and let it heat up. As a result, the material inside will become runny and easier to clean.
➢ Once the pen heats up then turn it off and take out the atomizer. Use a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol and gently clean the inside of the chamber.
➢ Repeat the process several times until the Q-tip comes out completely clean.
➢ One of the easiest way to clean it- detach the mouthpiece and soak it in warm water. If not, use a Q-tip to clean it to the best of your ability.
➢ Place all the pieces on a paper towel and give them time to dry out. After an hour assemble your concentrate vape pen.
