has one older brother who is also human and is alive and just a worker of some kind
raised by his dad, mom died young due to Crime Stuff, had a pretty happy but poor upbringing, friendly kid
he wanted to see the world so he started traveling by becoming a deckhand on a merchant ship (goddamnit liza ur making another sea boy)
became a monk bc he was a wild child (his dad probably taught him and he just,, fucked around and self-taught on a ship w/ maybe another monk)

got married (probably at like, 19 and was drunk but they were happy)
went on an adventure and got fucked up, has an injury that still gives him pain
he suffered a tragedy and brought shame to his family (probably by running away to a boat and getting drunkenly married)
