Happy Nudibranch Nursday!! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
*comically long yawn* well I seem to have just woken up from a 3-day-long weed nap. Anyway I'm back on my bullshit as usual
Today's nudibranch is the Nembrotha kubaryana, aka the variable neon slug or the dusky nembrotha! It also has another bi-name but its a slur. I dont. Know why its called a slur. Freaky ass 17th century taxonomists

The variable neon slug or the dusky nembrotha (Nembrotha kubaryana) is a species of colorful sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, marine gastropod mollusk in the family Polyceridae. It is a large dark-bodied nudibranch which may have green stripes running down the length of the body or have green raised spots. The margin of the foot and head is a vivid red-orange. The rhinophores and gills may be red or green. It is easily confused with a similar species, Nembrotha cristata, although the latter has no red orange border on its foot.
meet pogo! they're based off of a variable neon slug (nembrotha kubaryana)
