What’s the inspiration behind DD’s name? Is it a reference to the greek tale of Icarus and if so is there any similarities or parallels between dd and daedalus from icarus

I am embarassed to say that DD's name is not directly from the tale of Icarus......

He's actually named after Stephen Daedalus, the protagonist of Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce! Whose name is, I guess, referencing Icarus anyway 🤔
