Variat, a very confusing deity who loves messing with Solace and the rest of her system.

he never quite acts or looks the same way each time he shows up, changing his hairstyle and outfit as well as little personality quirks and opinions. he also always claims to have an entirely different backstory every time anyone asks, these have included "oh, i'm just a passing comet, nothing important. i'm gonna be out of here in a bit.", "ah, i'm dark matter! haven't you heard of me? i'm everywhere!" and "*sigh* i'm a moon. i'm all that's left of my system, our sun died and... and now i'm just trying to find somewhere to stay. my planet... he died shielding me..." after the first few times everyone decided that he's probably never going to tell them what's actually going on, which is really upsetting to them because he's really weird. he doesn't seem to be linked to a planet or anything, and he can appear anywhere, unlike the others who are trapped on their surface and locked into orbits. he can also alter things on the planets and such that he visits, taking control away from the planet/deity themselves, something that was thought to be impossible up until he showed up and ruined everything for a few days. he and Amavi are shockingly good friends, and he takes time at least once every decade or two to go cheer her up and hang out with her.

I'd be lying if I told you I was constantly eating at posh places. I'd like everyone to meet my newest little baby, Variat. He's only 3 months old, and despite using the pronoun 'he', I dont know if it's actually a boy or a girl yet.  Anyway, he's teeny tiny at the moment, he loves to slither around on me already despite having no handling prior to me getting him, he doesn't try to strike me at all and he absolutely loves getting rubbed under the chin.
