Carl Creel (The Absorbing Man) and Harris Hobbs were introduced in the first story in Journey into Mystery 114, cover date March 1965. They were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The second story introduced Haakun the Hunter. It also brought the Norse characters Iduna and Fenris the wolf god to the Marvel Universe, as well as the Norse location Varinheim.
