Tail slowly coils around a leg she hasn't touched since she left the tribe. While the painkillers helped, and the slow regrowth of her aura helped too, she still slept light. So her mother's presence does alert her. At first, Yang thought it was her dad. Coming to check on her like a fretful hen as he has since she'd gotten there with Ruby's help. But the touch is too feather light to be Taiyang. Then the bandages are unwound and Yang knows it can't be him. He was too anxious to change her bandages more, worrying he'd hurt them or ruin the scabs or literally any other thing that he babied her with that Raven never had. Yang had changed them herself for the past few days, given the injury was mostly healed now, beside the scarring.
"Does dad know you're here?"
Voice barely above a whisper, eyes creasing just enough to peer at the elder woman without letting any of the lights bother her. Not that the candle sitting on the bedside table was much to see by given how close to the end it was burning.
"Or did you sneak in like you used to?"
That was to say, everytime Raven had flown off to spy on Taiyang without him knowing. Well, considering her window is still shut, that answer was less likely. Yang's eyes open more to scan the room, spotting the blade set aside and the way Raven was just as on edge as Yang was.
"No, you had to... Used your Semblance, then."
Yang's tail tightens a bit more around her mothers leg, an unconscious habit to keep the woman from bolting without tripping.
"'s nice to see you, ma."
