The coffee shop was rather slow today and Kalio was the only one on shift. Nira, the human he usually worked with, was off with her boyfriend again. Kalio couldn’t believe he’d let her run off.
The small Turian drummed his fingers against the counter as he watched a fly repeatedly bump into the window. God, those things were so stupid. After the idiotic insect hit the glass for the seventh time, Kalio wrapped his thin fingers around a plastic coffee mug. He aimed at the bug, pulled his arm back, and-
Ding!
The cup fumbled in his hands and bounced to the floor. He looked to the door.
“Finally,” he huffed. “Come for some coffee, kid?”
