This was fun to write! I hope it’s good, still feel like it’s kinda wonky but I enjoyed writing it nonetheless. Definitely want more friendship headcanons! I wanna write about besties more.
*I do not own this gif!*
Griff and Brian are literal brothers. I’m pretty sure they were lost without each other before they even met. These dudes will do everything with each other - well not everything, but you know what I mean.
Their chemistry is on another level and that’s why they work so well together. Griff and Brian were two guys that honestly don’t have an ounce of hatred in their body. They’re both kind of like loving himbos, except they do have some sort of intelligence.
When Julia joined, now they both knew that she was the missing puzzle piece to everything. Her fire, drive, athleticism and overall bubbly attitude was a big asset to them. On top of the fact that she started to become like their baby sister; y’know the sister who’s hair you just wanna pull on because she’s so annoying, but you really adore her ‘cause she’s family.
The Varsity Blonds, now that they were complete, have the sweetest and biggest sibling energy kind of friendship. Griff and Brian wouldn’t hesitate to get on Julia’s nerves and tease her, knowing that all she would do is threaten them but never follow through. It was always those empty threats that sound like “I’m gonna tell mom,”.
Brian is the oldest, but Griff had the most maturity. Brian and Julia together is a chaotic duo and sometimes Griff would indulge, but most of the time he would have to clean up their messes.
As friends, they wouldn’t go a day without hanging out with each other or texting. There’s always something to talk about in their group chat; whether it’s making fun of Miro or Brian asking late night existential questions that no one ever had the answer to.
If anyone were to ever get on their bad side, especially attacking Julia, Griff and Brian would lose it. They were firm believers that you could say whatever you want about them, but as soon as Julia was involved, it was game over. Griff and Brian wanted nothing more than to protect her, she was like their little sister and no one gets away with being mean to her, only they can.
And if a girl ever had a problem with Julia, they had no problem talking trash too. Well not trash, but the best they could say. Like the time Madi Wrenkowski said she was going to teach a child a lesson (aka, Julia) and Brian told her that she was talking about a former 2x national cheerleading champion - that’s their kind of trash talk.
Julia wouldn’t hesitate to interfere for the guys either. She wasn’t afraid and would anything to protect the boys. That’s how much they cared about each other, as well as keep each other out of harms way.
And when fighting the bad guys was over, they’d all go back to normal like nothing ever really happened. That’s kinda how they operated; it was kind of like the Powerpuff Girls, fight and then have fun but also have fun while you’re fighting.
All in all, The Varsity Blonds may look like jocks but they are the least bit intimidating. If you’ve ever seen them together, you’d see that they are the biggest goofballs and are always having a blast together. They never get serious until they really need to and that’s why their friendship dynamic worked; they’re just super goofy people having a good time in their varsity gear.
No Brian, don’t go! Just, okay, cool off and realize your younger brother Griff is being impulsive because he wants to hurt the man who hurt your baby sister Julia! Realize Griff’s super upset! COME BACK BRIAN
(Malakai Black is trying to break up the Varsity Blonds and corrupt Julia because she’s an innocent sunshine girl! Corruption of the innocent is apparently a huge thing for evil people! DO NOT PLAY INTO THE PSYCHOLOGICAL GAME VARSITY BLONDS YOU’RE PLAYING INTO THE PSYCHOLOGICAL GAME DON’T)
