finally a sketch of varthar i ended up liking more than usual

#and it is of course him being a normal person in a normal environment doing normal things #listening to his playlist again helped a lot. there's like. so much shit in it but every song that comes on #reminds me of a facet of his so like.. lmao #what can i say i enjoy picturing him covered in blood. i omitted the guts because i feared it would become too much for this site #just picture chunks of flesh stuck to some of his corners for me. there #i like to think this is the moment where he sees his future (he doesn't know yet) reason of living coming back despite him doing everything #in his power to send her away. she would keep coming back trying to talk to him and learn about his curse #so he stops what he's doing (gutting something or someone) to lock his eye on her. romantic right #anyway. take it. i managed to keep my promise to myself i'd draw more of him today #my art #oc tag #varthar

#thinking of him at this point of the story is cathartic #so even if one is a recycled design and the other is a very simple outfit. it was fun to draw these #also i mean. drawing varthar naked is a cure for any ill thought and feeling i might have. but that's fine we know #if you've been here for some time. you know it. i don't need to justify my insanity about my own oc #be glad i didn't choose to post the first reference as a standalone. smearing varthar's whole body across your dash #i was tempted to for a second #oc tag #varthar #my art

my partner suggested i'd draw frankenstein's the creature and elizabeth as our ocs Varthar and Lyseia so i happily obliged

#there's. listen. there's a lot going on in this movie that made me insane #and i have to thank archi for recommending it to me and promising me that i'd like it because i ended up LOVING it #she knows me. she knows this would check so many boxes about varthar and his story #the movie of course was great. character arcs and designs were so delightful to witness. but i enjoyed everything twice as much because of #oc brainrot. so here we go. here we go #i was pleasantly surprised at my partner's request since i'm kind of silently insane about these two so i was happy while making this #time to simmer in my broth now. going to bed with a belly full of inspiration #my art #oc tag #varthar #lyseia
