when Varys is first introduced in AGOT Catelyn IV, he’s described as “hairless as an egg”. in The Hedge Knight, Aegon Targaryen, known as Egg, shaves his head to hide his identity. from this, we can conclude that the “Varys is a secret Blackfyre who shaves his head to conceal his heritage” theory must be true; he is hairless, like an Egg. this is how you do literary analysis, right?

Ya know, why does Varys not get blamed more often for Aerys’ actions? By all accounts he was whispering in the mad king’s ear and increasing his paranoia everyday, even turning him against his son.

I am surprised I see barely any theories in the fandom of Varys’ role in Robert’s Rebellion. Its also for this reason I believe Varys doesn’t have any “for the smallfolk!” motivation despite what he likes to portray

being master/mistress of whispers must be so funny because you send spies on people on both sides of beef and make riddles with mysterious appearances, and also being hated but needed all the same. it’s like being the friend in a group that’s abusing the “i told you” button at every death twice a week

the person who nobody wants to invite but appears in the room before anyone even turned the keys, just to say their scenes are so entertaining because it’s not me they’re talking. because i’d be stressed. no i don’t want to learn about the queen’s affairs thank you very much i just want a fair sum of money and live happily after
