habits and wiring
Important to set habits, come to the boat every day I’m not working and that isn’t a rest day. Even if it’s to get a single thing done. April will be here in no time.
Tackled lifelines yesterday and that became a bigger thing, as it does. Started slicing into the headliner. It’s ugly and smelly anyhow.
Two kinds of stanchion bases, all of one kind have failed. They are bolted through the deck which is why I went into the headliner to start with. Nuts and bolts corroded. Every time I look at a job it leads to 6 other jobs, some needing attention, others fine to wait. Success will be in knowing what’s essential.
The stanchion work lead to a happy accident, exposing all the wire to the nav lights. Not ideal...
...but not the worst. If the quality of the wires is passable the situation can be made safe with connectors et al. If it’s a dog’s breakfast I’ll assume that’s the case with all the wiring and commit to redoing it.
Mast rewired for sure.
