My One Of A Kind DJ (Pete White x Fem!Reader *Preview*)
AN: Thought I’d post a little preview to my newest little fic. Slowburn with a ton of fluff, this is all set around Operation P.R.O.M. - Check out the full fic on AO3 (rmorningstar21). This one is completed on there, and I may crosspost to my Wattpad (rmorningstar21). Haven’t decided on that yet. I’ve also debated MAYBE a bonus chapter around the time that all the escorts mutate, but I’m not sure on that yet.

Through the steam, you could hear the incessant ringing reverberating through the room. Probably another client, you thought to yourself with disdain, pushing through the foggy bathroom, towel in hand as you grabbed the cellular device with your free hand. Flicking it up to your ear, you allowed an aggravated huff to escape your lips before forcing a smile upon your face. Pressing the accept button, your voice was a bit of a cheerful robot as you said, “Propetural Progressed; we make your miracles a reality. You have Y/N. How may I help you?”
“Propetural Progressed, huh?” you could hear a familiar voice on the other line say. “If you make miracles a reality, just maybe you’ll be able to help me.”
Though the voice seemed so teasing, almost like a prank call. You dried yourself off as you listened, finding your lips curling upwards at the taunt. As there had only been one person to sound like that, and tease you so much, you could not help your assumptions. Playing wryly, you said in a playful tone, “What miracle may I make a reality for you today, sir?”
“Well, I’m looking for, ya know, this one of a kind DJ,” he replied in a teasing tone, immediately solidifying what you had been thinking. “She used to be a co-host of mine, and I was wondering if she’d like to DJ for old times sake.”
“Didn’t you get into the super science field as well, Pete?” you questioned with a quirked brow as you tried to stifle your laughter. As you spoke, you pulled on your outfit for the day, your grin never leaving your lips. “Last I heard, you founded your own company as well.”
“Ah, jeez, where do you get your intel?” he said with a chuckle. “Conjectural Technologies, but that ain’t the point. I’m doing a little side gig for, you remember Rust?”
You rolled your eyes at his words, but you could not help your perked interest as you exited the bathroom, fully clothed. “I’m not sure I could forget,” you said with a giggle, remembering how much he used to harass your roommate, to the point that she would not hang around the group. “Where exactly is this event being held, ever-popular Pete?”
“Colorado Springs, Colorado,” he said enthusiastically. “It’s nothing special, but I thought maybe we’d have fun, for old time sake. Rusty’s kids are getting a home-school prom.”
“Aw, that actually sounds kind of cute,” you said with a giggle, before walking up to your calendar to check your schedule. Skimming your hand against the page, all you saw was work, work, and more work. It had been like that for you ever since you formed your business, and it was not like you normally got a break from the action. “When is it?”
“In a couple days, but it would be nice if you could come over beforehand to work on the set,” he replied, almost in a hopeful tone. “If you’re busy, ya know, it’s no pressure. I just-.”
“Can’t do it without your lovely cohost?” you jested, a smirk against your lips as you spoke. “Don’t worry, Pete, you’re actually doing me a favor. I’ve needed a little time off for who knows how long.” Pausing, you glanced down at your formal attire, frowning as you realized you’d have to change out of what you just had changed into. “It’ll take me roughly 6 hours to get there, but if you could send me your home address, it would be nice to know where I’m heading to.”
“Six hours!” Pete exclaimed with a shocked tone. “Where are you living now?”
“You really didn’t do research before you called me, did you?” you replied with a giggle. “I’m in New York City now. Luckily, a short Venture actually owes me a favor, so I’ll be flying first class.”

Warnings: None? A little cheesy?
AN: If you change the trailer to “apartment”, get rid of the fluff at the end, this was a rough synopsis of my night last night. I did not sleep well, but for some reason the whole power outage idea screamed Pete, and I couldn’t help typing this little thing out quickly this morning. Now that this is done, I’m going to drown myself in some coffee and work on the commission until my class.
The icy chill of the deep winter eve swallowed the whole area whole, the winds whispering through the trailer itself. Silence was filled with the wind's whispers, the temperature dropping on the outside nearly coinciding with the drop on the inside. More than a few times, the heat attempted to kick on to no avail, the hum of the heat shot down by the inability to connect.
Shivers fell down the woman's spine as she found her y/e/c eyes slit open, examining the damage. Sitting up straight, darkness entered her vision rather with a vengeance, even the lights upon the digital clocks refusing to blink back on. A frown grazed the woman's face as she groggily padded the couch in search of her phone. Upon triumph, she flipped it open, the battery itself at half mast as she dialed the automated system.
Restoration time estimated for 9am, she recalled in her head as she huffed, closing the phone itself. Another shiver drove up her spine as she grabbed her blanket, placing it as a cocoon around herself. Don’t they understand it’s the middle of winter?
Standing to her feet, her y/e/c eyes straining as she walked silently through the trailer, she checked upon the two living mates she had. Billy was first on her list, as she noted that the man had himself pulled into such a cocoon that he likely had not even felt the drop in temperature. Mounds of blankets covered the small man, and her lips curled upwards the slightest bit, before curling downwards again.
That’s where our spares went, she thought, stifling a chuckle, though she could only imagine how her other living mate was fairing. The handsome, pink skinned male with the white locks was likely freezing, clutched tightly to his blankets. Maybe I should give him mine.
Sighing as she left the smaller man’s room, closing the door as quietly as physically possible, she made her way to the other side of the trailer. Carefully, she cracked the door open, her movements as precise as she could possibly make them. Straining her y/e/c eyes once more, they landed upon the sight she only expected. In the lack of light, she could barely make out the color of his winter pajamas, or the color of the blanket that the albino male clung to. She could barely see the way that the man struggled, clearly shivering in the dead of night.
Shifting y/e/c eyes back to the blanket she had wrapped around herself, her little cape, she frowned once more. The option was put in place for her, but one blanket until the late morning seemed lacking to her. Her cheeks darkened at her own idea, before she tried to brush off her embarrassment. Preservation, she chided herself, or attempted to convince herself, as she gently dipped the bed, stretching the blanket she previously had wrapped around herself around the two.
Her arms wrapped silently, yet tightly, around the man’s lithe frame, pulling him into any warmth she could possibly spare. Y/e/c eyes shut as she silently allowed his scent to take over her senses, the gentle hint of his cologne from the day prior still present. She cursed the lack of light as she held the man close to her, wishing to indulge in the only moments she would be able to hold the lithe man this close.
For warmth, she reminded herself. For his warmth.
His shaking ceased under the woman’s embrace, tucked tightly under the blanket that she provided. Unconsciously, he curled into her embrace, the woman’s cheeks heating with far more blush as she felt him as close as he could possibly be to her. Only his thin blanket he clung to prior separated the two, and Y/N could not find it in her to fall asleep, no matter how much she relished in the experience.
Hours passed while the woman was holding him, sleepless hours that her mind reeled. How she wished she would have told the albino male years ago of her pining, all the way down to how comfortable he felt in her arms. Desire, pining, all led up to one night that the winds whistled through the trailer, and yet, would they still be there in the morning, once the heater roared back to life? That, she was sure of.
That, it had, as 9 am groggily rolled around for the three living companions. It may have been a few minutes prior, she was unsure, as she listened sleeplessly to the heat beckoning to fill the trailer with warmth once more. Her breath could still be seen as she opened her eyes, though she kept her stealth up as her y/e/c eyes studied the albino male close up. Cheeks crimson once more, she watched as his breath heated her face with each exhale, the way his pouted lips looked so close to her own.
With the waking morning, her y/e/c eyes could make out the teal that his sleeping pajamas were, the cap still apparent upon his head. The blanket he had wrapped underneath her embrace was clearly a dull gray now that she could see once more. His snow white bangs lay askew upon his handsome face, likely from all the tossing and turning he had done prior to the woman wrapping him up.
As her breath was no longer visible, she began to crawl carefully from the albino’s warmth, her job completed for the eve. At any moment, he would wake, as would their smaller companion, ready for the harsh tundra’s day. While she attempted, though, she could feel lithe arms pulling her closer to him, trapped in her own personal heaven.
She was unsure of how long she remained trapped under his constrictive embrace, the two a mess of blankets and limbs as the albino male still slumbered peacefully. It was only the moment that red eyes slitted open, gazing upon what he had constricted, that her heart nearly stopped in her chest. Y/e/c eyes remained open as they simply blinked in disbelief, her lips not knowing whether or not to curl upwards, nor downwards. Her name was murmured, something she could barely hear over the roar of her own thoughts.
“I- uh,” she whispered finally, sheepishly as her cheeks darkened to their absolute limitations. “The power was out, and I didn’t want you freezing to death.”
He pulled you closer, pressing a gentle kiss into your forehead as he held you. “It’s nice, ya know,” he murmured in reply. “I’m probably still dreamin’, but waking up in your arms is somethin’ I’ve always wanted.”
She was unsure what came over her as she moved to press her lips against his own, maybe the way the man’s intellect seemed so lacking in the morning. Maybe she wanted to prove to him that it wasn’t a dream, that it was truly Y/N he was constricting, talking sweet to. It could have been a number of reasons, but the taste of his lips after all those years of waiting, all those years of pining, had been far sweeter than she could have imagined.
Upon separation, Pete’s face momentarily flushed, realizing that it had not been a dream after all. Chuckling awkwardly, he still refused to remove himself from her sweet embrace. “Well, this is, a, embarrassin’,” he murmured softly. “That felt way too real to be a dream.”
“Well,” she murmured, her cheeks still coated in crimson, “I wouldn’t mind waking up to your handsome face more often, if, uh, if you really meant that.”
Pete took the opportunity, noticing how flush with blush the woman had been, to pull her into another kiss. This one had been longer than the last, their lips melding groggily as the early morning. No matter how much she tried to convince herself she curled into his bed for preservation, the way the two melded together seemed to easily convince the woman otherwise.
Bruh I NEED/LIVE for Watch and Ward content, I can’t find anything for them besides your stuff! Keep it up
Well, I do have plans to finish up that part 2 I've been slacking on of Watch x Reader x Ward, but I'm sure I can whip up some more over the weekend as well.
