yongtae was someone that was important to dragan. the man has told him countless times that he'd been around nightbloods for years, in which dragan believed as he remember the male from when he was younger. he didn't really care for his extensive background information, but the younger male did appreciate the advice given to him when it was needed. yongtae was leaning more on the 'yes man' side of his line of work. always ready to do whatever , no matter how ridiculous the task given to him was. as to be expected for a caporegime.

as much as his brother seemed to annoy him, he did contemplate of just getting rid of the older male many of days, but the respect that he had for his older siblings was something that overpowered his desire to do so. he looks the older with a stoic expression leaned back in his chair. there were times when dragan found the older so say some things that didn’t add up to the wisdom that the male had retained over the years he’s been living. you would think after a hundred and more so years of existing the dragon would know what and what not to say.

“ i could just kill you and be done with it too. ” anything was possible, but for now he wouldn’t dare lay a finger on the man who would without a second thought in his mind jump off a cliff if he asked him too.  “ as fun as it would seem to just waltz downstairs and do that, realistically we cannot. ” he reassured the older, easing his mind from the thought of killing. there were more important matter to be discussed at the moment. “ what was this important files you had wanted me to see ? ”

she hadn’t expect the handsome man to come back after their last encounter when he tried to end her life within the space of her home. in fact, she hadn’t expect him to speak to her either and because her focus was more on his visual appearance she had almost missed everything that he had to tell her. it probably wasn’t anything important as all she heard was die. could it be that he wanted to have some more fun trying to kill her again ? she felt a spark of excitement rise in her, the handsome male, moon yongtae, wanted to take another chance in killing her. 

“ and how do you plan on taking my life this time, handsome ? ” she asks, tilting her head from side to side in a playful manner, taunting him. “ what will be the cost of you failing again this time ? are we having another repeat of last time ? ” a smile forms upon her lips, memories of the past event plays through her mind, seeing how weak the male is towards women this could work out in her favor, whatever the male had up his sleeve. 

“  we can play if you want too, handsome sir. ” she had offered, sure the older scared her a bit the first time he appeared, but who wouldn’t when someone was waiting to end you in your own home. she still wasn’t too happy about that event that took place but she would look past it. she considered it to be a blessing that someone excelling in the visual department would come back to her for a second time. she was considering herself to be really lucky these days. 

“ don’t worry, my pain tolerance is still high so whatever you plan on doing i won’t feel it. ” she informed him, giving a wink in his direction.

POPULAR BOYS ARE OVERRATED @vcyongtae

decades have blurred together like a train speeding through the scenic countryside. the colors have all blurred together and conditioned eyes can barely pick out the colors besides the rush of overwhelming green. perhaps at one point there were blurs of brown and the curl of powder blue but she can hardly differentiate them. why? because the elegant woman paid attention to few things not directly related to he job. people became murmurs in the back of her memories, feelings melted through her fingers like water out of an oasis, and she was left knowing what happened but caring little about the details.  one person always stood out in her mind.  the dragonblood had been a consistent patron throughout her time as an assassin. he had trusted her with sensitive, confidential tasks and had passed the hefty weight of her fees with little care for where the money went once it was contained in blood-red manicured hands. their partnership had been one of mutual trust, of delivered results and constant backing until something akin to friendship blossomed between them. it was an odd emotion to the elf but she had grown to appreciate the different flavor that he brought to her vast, stagnant life.  she could even say that she cared deeply for him -- was it not obvious by how she had taken his help in joining the Night Bloods? it was not out of loyalty to the mission of the gang but it was for the protection that he brought and here she had stayed for another decade of an unendingly long life. there were moment where she deeply appreciated his presence and there were moments where she would disappear without word only to come back weeks later knowing nothing had changed.....but at this moment? her disgust is not feigned in the subtle curl of her lips directed at no other than the ravenette not so far from her side. the rise of her irritation has been astronomical but she hardly finds surprise in the matter; if anyone could cause her frozen blood to boil over it would be yongtae. her friend. her confident. her irritant. “I would say I was surprised but you’ve got quite the audacity for a man your size.” she insults, voice iced and cold as garnet orbs look over him from head to toe in a slow, appraising gaze. her nose wrinkling as if she is not pleased with what she has seen. “are you getting stupid in your old age, youtube?”

Briar would never understand old, rich men and their affinity for golf. He supposed it was because after a certain age and years spent sedentary in a desk job, it was all they could do. It was so much more than a sport or recreational activity for them, though. Many of the higher ups within the Agdoeg police department were vested members of the city's elite country club and it was no secret that their decisions were often made on the green rather than in the confines of a board room. It was also not a secret that the club touted many notable gang members as prime investors and it only took common sense to figure out that both frequenting the same place was not simply coincidence. Especially with the questionable decisions made on where money was allocated within the police department.

There was a more intricate game at work here, but it wasn't until Briar took up the detective position that he had a chance to really figure out what they were playing at. When one of his superiors invited him to tag along, he couldn't refuse the offer even if he wanted to. He owed it to his fellow officers at the bottom of the totem pole who often were the ones getting the short end of the stick with these secretive deals. While he might have looked the part with his polo and snug slacks, he was counting that stroking their egos by making his superiors feel like experts at the game compared to him might work to his advantage.

When they arrived at the first hole, Briar climbed out of the golf cart his senior had driven and moved to the back to get the bag of assorted clubs, hoisting it over his shoulder easily. The older man had already gone over to greet the others present and the detective, feeling wholly out of place, smiled cordially as he approached like this was his ideal way of spending his Saturday. Then again, he often brought his work home with him on the weekends anyway, so this wasn't much different aside from robbing him of his comfort in the form of a warm cup of tea as he went over case files.

"Everyone, this is Pan. He took over for Detective Kim." Though Briar smiled and endured the small talk after his introduction, inside he knew this was all a formality. A cleverly disguised vetting process for these bureaucrats to figure out if he was predator or prey. As he was shaking hands with the higher ups, both former and current, he found his attention drawn to a man who appeared about as young as him, but he had seen his face enough in association with rising tech and oil stocks to know that he'd been around well before Briar had begun his life in Agdoeg. Someone so deeply rooted in old money definitely set off more than a few alarm bells in the detective's head and only fueled his suspicion of the corruption in even the uppermost positions within the police. Why else would he be here if there wasn't a connection?

"I don't believe I recognize you from the department." Briar cut in shamelessly while the rest of the men were getting their clubs and thrust out a gloved hand for Mr. Moon to shake. Thankfully, a lot of players wore leather gloves to keep a better grip, so he didn't actually stand out for once wearing them. "So are you a friend of one of the commanders or just a generous benefactor?"
