The first thing Dan did after finding out about Aaron was call Blair. He had picked up his phone off the porch and headed back inside, hands running through his hair as he paced around in the living room. He called Blair's phone twice, both times going straight to voicemail, three more times he tried calling her home phone. Still no answer. By the fourth consecutive time he had tried her cellphone without success, Dan had made up his mind. He couldn't stay in his home, not when Jenny or Daniel weren't there, not when Aaron was dead and Blair was... Dan didn't know where Blair was or if she was even with anybody. All he knew was that he needed to see her.
If there was ever a time that he hated himself for not getting his license or owning a car, it was now. Not because there were definitely things that went bump in the night, but because his feet couldn't possibly get him to Blair's door fast enough. Nevertheless, Dan ran as fast as he could, taking every possible shortcut he could remember. All he could think of was Aaron and Blair. Blair might not have wanted any company, but he was going to give it to her anyway. It's what she did for him, the least he could do was return the favour. Plus... it was Aaron. Aaron was his friend too.
Using the spare key Blair had told him about months ago, Dan let himself into the Waldorf estate and quickly made his way up the stairs towards her room, gathering his breath before tentatively opening her door. When he saw her sitting against the headboard of her bed, knees pulled to her chest, his heart fell. If he had reason to doubt Bonnie's words before, he definitely believed them now. "Blair..." He muttered weakly before crossing the room and sat across from her on the bed, he wanted to wrap his arms around her and comfort her, but he wasn't sure if that was what she wanted. So instead he shuffled himself to sit next to her and took hold of her hand in his, willing to just sit there in silence with her if that was what she wanted.
