“Hey,” Mick said fondly, walking up beside Len and using a hand to softly turn his husband’s cheek to face him, “it’s gonna go fine.” Mick kissed Len and pulled away slightly, smiling reassuringly, “Wally knows us, and thinks the world of our kids; we’re gonna pass this spot-check and adopt Axel, so stop worrying so much, okay?”

Len has a soft spot for fuzzy tiny animals; Mick takes advantage of this fact mercilessly.

They’re too professional to do it on a job, but Len is constantly getting himself hurt it really stupid minor ways trying to do stuff for himself/Mick/prove he doesn’t need help to build a stupid cabinet.

Logistics aside, Mick has had to carry a sleeping Len to bed more than once when Len’s just worked himself right into unconsciousness. Mostly bc while he’d be willing to leave Len to sleep in peace [Len almost always wakes up and has a minor freak out when he realizes he’s being carried until Mick can calm him down], Lisa gets worried so it’s better in the long run if Len gets to an actual comfortable bed or couch.
which one puts pizza rolls in the shopping cart when the other isn’t looking
“shopping cart” lol Mick steals them bc Len forgets to eat/sometimes can’t function enough to make himself food and they’re simple enough that Len can and will make them on bad days if they’re there.
which one sends the other useless fun facts at 3 am
I mean they’re usually together at 3am, but Len’s awake and overthinking so Mick has to distract him with stuff that doesn’t matter in the long run but will hold his interest long enough to pull him out of the painful thoughts he’s usually stuck in.
which one feeds stray animals
Both but mostly Len bc he’s secretly a softie. Mick does it mostly bc it makes Len happy/cheers Lisa up to see a cute stray cat walk over and cuddle up to him.
which one sleeps in really weird positions
See the thing about Len is that he will work himself to exhaustion and then keep working until he literally can’t stop himself from falling asleep. [see above re: Mick carrying him to bed] He gets nightmares, and if he’s alone he usually curls up into the tightest ball he can manage but usually Lisa will wake him up before they get to their worst part and then offer reassurance that they’re both still safe bc they’ve grown up needing to check in with each other. If Mick’s there, though, Len can and will use him like a stuffed animal and is the clingiest person you have ever seen [Mick laughs at him affectionately but knows why and is always very careful not to actually mock him about it or make Len feel worse than he already does about it].
which one opens all the jars/bottles
Mick. Len really can’t handle broken glass so while he can and will open stuff for himself when alone, Mick usually just automatically takes it and opens it bc he can and it means Len doesn’t have to worry about accidentally breaking it and having a panic attack.

Lisa and the boys have to join in or risk disappointing her. Len also occasionally hums under his breath without really realizing and Mick loves it bc it means he’s calm and feels safe and comfortable enough to let his guard down.

“buys” lol they usually just skip the cards and steal something for each other, the weirder but more personalized the better. Lisa takes it as her sisterly duty to give them both hilarious cards though.

Cisco, though Hatley injures himself more in general it’s just never in an attempt to impress Cisco [at least not that he’ll admit].

It’s more like a piggy back ride, but Hartley’s too exhausted to dispute the difference when Cisco’s carrying him back to Star Labs for some peace and quiet.

Hartley has an army of rats; Cisco will feed cats/dogs but draws the line at vermin [his choice of words].

Hartley will fall asleep p much anywhere out of sheer exhaustion so it’s not uncommon to find him asleep on his desk; Cisco is a cuddler and a sprawler.

So this one time Cisco got back to Star Labs one night bc he realized he’d forgotten to research and found Hartley using his sonic gloves to open [read: shatter] a jar. Cisco spent the next hour helping clean it up and making Hartley promise to just wait or call him next time if he’s really that desperate.

Both!!! Hartley secretly loves showtunes and musical eps of any show he’s ever seen [and is always frustrated at missed potential]. It becomes a game, one of them starting a song and the other one having to figure out what it is and join in within the first few lines or they ‘lose.’ Barry occasionally joins in, and everyone stopped and stared when they did it in front of Stein bc damn he’s good wtf not fair.

Cisco! It’s a personal challenge to get Hartley to burst out laughing at one, but so far he hasn’t succeeded. He has made him cry, though, the first time he got Hartley a birthday card he was so touched he couldn’t help it [and denied it forever afterwards] even if it was one of those obnoxious record your own singing ones that was rick-rolling him.

well, canonically Len drives and tells Mick to put on his seatbelt. Mick would probably give them directions off a cliff tbh, but Lisa’s somehow even worse, so Len just memorizes the route beforehand

Lisa does the backflips, Len and Mick stand there and stick their tongues out when she acts all smug about it (they give her proper applause once they’re making their way out of the museum and don’t have to worry about alarms)
Len has done the backflips. Mick got distracted from keeping lookout and Lisa had to save their butts (again)

Pairings/Characters: see above, but it’s just Finn/Poe with mentions of others and a bit of BB-8

A/Notes: This ended up way more Finn/Poe than the OT3 but it’s open to interpretation
Summary: nah just read the first paragraph and decide if you wanna read the rest I guess; enjoy-
“I’m, like, 75% sure this won’t explode on us,” Poe says as he pulls himself out from under the control panel that’s still sparking alarmingly and flashes a grin at Finn, “which, y’know, is 74 more percent than we had before, so I think we’re definitely on the right track.”
Finn huffs out a laugh and shakes his head as Poe pushes past him and out of the cockpit of their commandeered -- stolen -- ship. “Well that’s reassuring,” he jokes, following Poe out to offer his help, “anything I can do to raise that even more?”
Poe’s foot is sticking out of an access panel, soon joined by a hand waving vaguely at the toolbox sitting a few feet away. “Hand me the V-shape-end-thingy, would you?” When the vaguely described tool fails to appear in his hand he continues, “BB-8, you know what I mean, right?”
BB-8 beeps a cheerful admonishment to Poe and leaned over to point out the micrograbber for Finn to grab. “Thanks, BB,” Finn grins at the droid and patted its head as Poe disappears back into the wall with the tool he needed. “So, you know how General Organa asked if we could use some back-up and you said no, we’d be fine?” Finn starts, waiting for Poe’s muffled grunt of acknowledgement before continuing. “And then how Master Skywalker made a not-so-subtle comment about how another pair of hands is always useful on a job like this?”
Poe’s answering huff sounds suspiciously sulky, though Finn can’t quite tell with it muffled by the metal wall panels.
“And then Rey asked if we wanted to bring her along, just in case we ran into trouble or even if we just wanted the company.” Finn waits, and this time Poe’s response is to poke his head out of the machinery and pout, though Finn had a feeling it was meant to be a glare that got a little too petulant. “Next time we listen to the Jedi.”
“General’s not a Jedi,” Poe corrects automatically, following the comment quickly with a muffled curse as whatever piece of the ship he’s repairing makes a distressing sound. When nothing else seems to be going wrong for now (or at least, there’s no further cursing and nothing’s exploded, yet), Finn takes it as his cue to continue the conversation.
“She’s Force-sensitive, right? Close enough. Besides, even if we didn’t need Rey’s help with repairs-”
“We don’t!”
”I wouldn’t mind the company while you get the ship fixed.”
“Oh, am I not company enough?” Poe asks lightly, backing out of the wall to swap out tools and reassess the rest of the hallway they’re sitting in. Finn takes pity on the poor, overworked pilot and leans in to give him a reassuring hug and a warm laugh.
“You’re not here to be entertaining, you’re here to make sure we don’t blow up as soon as we turn the engines back on,” Finn reminds him, and Poe sticks his tongue out quickly before turning away and starting on the electronics hidden behind another panel. “Though I can’t say I’m not enjoying the view,” Finn says, and leans back against BB-8.
Finn’s laughing even as he falls over, BB-8 rolling away when they realize just what Finn meant by the ‘view’; Poe turns to look over his shoulder and grins at the sight of his droid trying to lecture Finn on mission protocol as he lays happily on the floor. “I’m 98% sure we’re not going to explode,” Poe informs Finn smugly, and offers a hand to pull him up. “I think we’re all set to go home.”
Finn’s smile is soft and shy when he replies, “Yeah, home… I like the sound of that,” and Poe wouldn’t miss this for the galaxy.
