The High Coast Bridge is a powerful construction that towers up when driving on the E4 between Härnösand and Ullånger. The bridge was built in 1993 and was inaugurated on December 1, 1997. The model is San Francisco's famous Golden Gate Bridge. The suspension bridge over ångermanälven is one of Sweden's tallest buildings with a height of 180 meters above the water surface. Brospannet is Sweden's longest, Europe's third longest and the world's eleventh longest. North of the bridge you will find Hotel High Coast.

The High Coast Bridge means that the heavy vehicles that were previously forced to drive a detour of just over four miles over the Sandö bridge can now cross ångermanälven in a faster way. Construction technology is advanced with complicated works both underwater and at high altitude. The developer was The Swedish Road Administration Region Mitt and the bridge has been built by a Nordic consortium consisting of Skanska, Monberg & Thorsen and Alfred Andersen. The entire project cost SEK 2.1 billion.

The bridge was built to make the road shorter, as the older section via Sandöbron is 8 km longer. In addition, it does not have the highest load capacity for heavy vehicles (BK1), which is why vehicles over 52 tonnes were previously referred to the road via Bollstabruk which is another 38 km longer. The bridge is part of a new stretch of road along the E4 from just north of Härnösand in the south to Gallsätter in the north. The route was built as a wide country road without level crossings where connection takes place only at traffic points. In the early 2000s, the route was converted into a meeting-free 2+1 road. Over the bridge, however, the road is built as a four-lane road with two fields in each direction where the outer lanes in each direction are narrower than normal. The entire newly built route including the High Coast Bridge is signposted at 110 km/h. Near the northern bridge mount there is a rest area with a hotel and restaurant from which the entire bridge can be seen. From this place also the High Coast Trail, which stretches 128 kilometres between this place and Örnsköldsvik,begins/ends.

The shorter name Vedabron comes from the village of Veda,which is located one kilometre west of the bridge's southern stronghold.

The High Coast Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Ångerman River between Kramfors and Härnösand municipalities in Ådalen,near the mouth of the Ångerman River on the High Coast. The bridge is a road bridge for the E4 road and was inaugurated on 1 December 1997 by King Carl XVI Gustaf.

The bridge's free span is 1,210 meters and it is 17.8 meters wide. The sail-free height is 40 meters and the entire length of the bridge is 1,867 meters. The pylons are 182 meters high, and were Sweden's tallest construction (TV-master uncalculated) until the construction of the Öresund Bridge (whose pylons are 203.5 m). The bridge has Sweden's longest bridge span with its 1,210 meters.

The High Coast Bridge (Swedish: Högakustenbron), also known as the Veda Bridge (Swedish: Vedabron), is a suspension bridge crossing the mouth of the river Ångermanälven near Veda, on the border between the municipalities of Härnösand and Kramfors in the province of Ångermanland in northern Sweden. The area is often referred to as High Coast, hence its name. The older bridge across the same river is the Sandö Bridge, in a new extension of the European route E4. It is (as of 2016) the third longest suspension bridge in Scandinavia (after the Great Belt Fixed Link in Denmark and Hardanger Bridge in Norway), the fourth longest in Europe, and the 16th longest of the world.

The total length is 1,867 metres (6,125 ft), the span is 1,210 metres (3,970 ft), and the column pillars are 180 metres (591 ft) tall. The max height for ships is 40 metres (131 ft). The bridge was constructed between 1993 and 1997 and was officially opened on 1 December 1997 by king Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

The shorter name, the Veda Bridge, refers to the village Veda, which lies 1 km west of the south abutment of the bridge.
