Louis was an interesting boyfriend to say the least. He was part Veela, and even if it was a watered down part, Veela blood was strong, and it shone in him. It wasn’t that what had attracted Scorpius to him ( actually, it had taken him a long time to see him as anything but an extremely annoying pretty boy ), but he did notice the way other people looked at him. They’d pause as they walked by, some of them daring a wave or a wink, others just looking dazed and confused as they ducked their heads down and scurried on by. Scorpius didn’t have a lot of self-esteem issues on his own appearance, Malfoy and Greengrass blood was a very mood match, and he’d sometimes turn a head himself, but it was nothing compared to the attention Louis drew. It was hard not to notice, too, and even though he didn’t consider himself to be an outrageously jealous person it did get annoying after awhile.
Especially when Louis reacted to it -- even worse, when he winked and waved back. Like he had just done. Whilst holding Scorpius’ hand as they walked down the hallway. The third year boy who had initiated it turned a shade of pink and hurried past them, not having expected any response from the other boy. And Scorpius was left seething, pulling his hand away harshly and hurrying up the stairs that led to the Gryffindor dorms, his face hard and heated. What would make Louis think flirting back with a boy while his boyfriend was right beside him was anything short of a very bad idea? Scorpius was so annoyed he nearly tripped through the portrait hole when he reached it, though he catches himself and plops down on an empty couch in the common room. He knows Louis will catch up with him, but right now he needs a second to breath. Merlin, his boyfriend was annoying.
