Sonic movie 4 better include Amy and Shadow going to a concert or so help me-

It’s about how Sonic and Shadow are such direct parallels of grief. I’ve been on both sides of it and it’s so easy to fall into that anger and stew in it until you can’t find your way out anymore.

Shadow sat with that for fifty years with no one to comfort him and eventually only Gerald feeding into that anger. He had NO ONE to turn to for comfort. The one person he would have ever gone to is the sole reason he needs that comfort in the first place. Of course he’s angry and lashing out.

But then we had Sonic, who went the other way entirely, who had family and reasons to work through that grief. Once he got out of that cave, he had the support system Shadow never had and I can only hope in the future we get to see them both discuss that more.
