FRESH - The Best App for all Your Vegan Cooking Needs

FRESH is your one stop app for all things vegan cooking. This app has hundreds of tested and perfected vegan recipes that meet all your vegan needs and any dietary restrictions you may have (oil-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and nut free). Simple and to the point, FRESH doesn’t have pages of a life story you have to scroll through first with the recipe finally at the bottom of the page, with step-by-step instructions, videos to follow along while you cook, and a complete ingredient list, it’ll be the only app you need to use for your meatless-Monday nights or if it’s your everyday lifestyle! Recipes are created by our team of chefs, nutritionists, and health experts so you know that everything you make is good for your mind, body, and soul.

FRESH’s main interface when entering the app will include a grid-like layout with photos of the newest recipes created which you can click on and will bring you right to the recipe. A search bar will be at the top of the page where you can search for any meal, food item, quick meals, meals you can prep, and so much more! You’ll also be able to filter your options using the filter tool right beside the search bar to match any restrictions you may have. There will be various buttons located on the bottom of the screen that you can click to take you to different sections of the app that can be accessed from any window you’re on while on the app. The first being the main screen when you click on the app, next, there will be a feature where you can select items you have in your fridge and it will come up with some recipe suggestions without you needing to go to the grocery store for ingredients, the next button is where you can save any recipes that you’ve tried or are going to try later, the third is a community page that shows photos and comments from users who have tried the recipes (you’ll be able to react and comment on these posts) and where they can share their own recipes, and the last is the profile page where you can manage your account, personal information, any connected sites, and the help section.

The target market of FRESH would be for anyone interested in a vegan lifestyle no matter their skill level in the kitchen or their knowledge of veganism. The age range for the app would probably be for teenagers and onward, simply because it’s likely that an interest in food and various lifestyles become an interest in teen years. The target market as well is anyone who is looking for a community within veganism and has trouble finding it in their daily lives. It allows for users to be more interested, willing, and empowered to be vegan.

To make FRESH “sticky”, there will be new recipes added weekly, as well as recipes from guest chefs of all levels sharing their creations. Another feature would be to have goals and levels that users can reach. For example, the more recipes they make, the more points they receive, and if a recipe is more difficult then they’ll receive more points. As well, users will receive daily notifications to try a recipe, and if they complete it daily, they will create a streak that could break if they don’t try something. Each person’s level and streak will be visible on their profile so it becomes a personal challenge that will encourage them to get to higher levels and ultimately spend more time on the app and eating vegan.
