First of all: Welcome back! (Oh my god, how long has it been??) And a Happy New Year to you as well! How have you been doing? 

Regarding Dracula: Please do watch it. The first two episodes honestly feel like a fever dream of TJLC subtext – the third one as well, but just like series 4 it’s not as obvious about it.

We were in the one up on the hill last year (I think it was a YHA one) and I thought that one was pretty good

I’ve heard good things about the YHA here... but the St. Christopher’s Inn is abysmal. The staff is wonderful, but the facilities are really not what I expect from a hostel. No kitchen, no safe storage space for people despite it being advertised... ugh, so glad to be back on a friend’s couch the next two nights!

okay, that is a fairly long time. it was only a couple months (one summer) in my case. i don't know... maybe i'd, like, at least try not to actively form new friendships. but like, if you happen to meet someone who ends up being a great friend, then i guess it's one of those things that just happen, you know? and as you're saying, completely isolating yourself probably isn't healthy. sfhdfgsdj sorry, this is all probably entirely unhelpful.

oh yeah, like i mean all of this in terms of actively seeking out ways to meet new people. i wouldn’t ever not be friends with someone i meet organically just because of this. i’m making it sound more extreme than it is because for me my friends are my best friends and everyone else is just people i get along with
