Happy birthday, Dara. I hope you had a day well spent. Turning a year older, but looking a year younger; that's you. I wish you all the happiness that you deserve.
Here's a little something.
Jay places a red box; the kind that contained jewelry. It had been bond shut with a delicate ribbon. All she had to do was pull one of the loose ends and there, it reveals the vulnerable box, ready to be opened. Inside contains a necklace. Not an ordinary one, it was a kind of vial, bottle type of necklace, and inside was a rose. Jay speaks, "This... This is a reminder of one of the few memories I had given you while you were my baby girl. A house full of roses... This flower.." He pointed at the one inside the vial, "It won't ever die. It will always hold a spot on your chest as my love for you will always be there. In my dark heart... somewhere in there." He chuckles awkwardly.
He places a larger jewelry box in front of her. This time, there was no ribbon. The box contains a tiara, fit for a princess. "I know you have an extremely soft spot for princesses and disney... I just wanted you to have this to have a reminder that you, Dara, really do deserve the best. You deserve to be treated like a princess. No cheaters, liars, dipshits, jerks or assholes. All which I am. However, when you finally found your prince charming, I hope he does truly treat you well."
He takes a bouquet of flowers from behind the wall. 51 roses to be exact and gives it to her, he smiles. "51 roses. 51 days. 1224 hours. 73440 minutes. 4406400 seconds. Unless I got my math wrong, I believe that's true... But anyways. 51 roses to symbolize our 51 days together. For brightening up my life. Thank you." He rubs the back of his neck, looking at her for any reaction she may have.
Speechless, she covered her mouth with both of her hands, tears welling up in her eyes and spilling over just as she reached for bouquet. "Jay... Aisht, Jay, you're not making this whole letting go thing any easier, you know," she croaked with a smile and a laugh. Her gaze moved fondly over the gifts, her heart thudding in her ears as she shook her head in disbelief, cradling the flowers delicately against her chest. "Omo... These are... they're so beautiful, all of them, everything. They're... perfect." She shyly brought her gaze up to him as he rubbed at his neck. With another laugh, she threw her arms around his neck and and brought him close for a hug. She sobbed and hiccuped through her laugh, quickly pulling from his hold as she felt it slip. Her hand raised to brush away her tears, her quivering lips curved in her gentle smile. "Thank you, Jaebeom. This... means a lot to me. I'll cherish these always.Thank you so much, for everything." Sniffling, she laughed once more at herself as she wiped her tears away with a quick, rough brush of her sleeve. She shook her head, stopping her wandering mind and found her will to smile genuinely once more as she took up her gifts and wore them, clutching the roses to her chest. "You're so not making this easy on me, you big pabo," she snickers, adjusting her tiara.
