Pedophilia is inherently a right wing conservative ideology because it actively harms and sexually objectifies (which is a form of oppression) children (which are, in fact, a marginalized group). You can’t be a leftist and support pedophilia.
Fart jokes and the like are actually a non-issue when it comes to anything, really.
Like, think about it for a moment, if a character in a cartoon is subjected to some kind of toilet humor, in comparison to other potential real-world issues it may unintentionally portray (such as the portrayal of certain groups of people), it literally doesn’t matter.
Sure, it may affect how *you* personally enjoy the thing in question, but that doesn’t determine whether or not a cartoon is objectively good or bad, even if the main consensus of the public says so.
People will literally criticize anything but things that should be criticized in media. People would much rather criticize an author for making a character pull snot out of their nose than issues such as racism or misogyny that the author, either intentionally or unintentionally, might’ve put in the writing.
I think that it’s tragic that the anti-furry movement is one of the biggest facist movements that are actively grooming young people into facist ideology that no one is talking about. Honestly I’d argue that they’re a rather large portion of the reason why we are in this mess today.

I don’t care anymore if you’re transphobic I’m going to automatically assume you’re a sexual predator. No normal person sexually objectifies anyone let alone an entire marginalized group of people (yes, being transphobic IS sexually objectifying trans people. You’re obsessing over what they do with their own bodies, specifically with their genitals.). So yeah even if we both have uteruses if you’re a terf I don’t fucking trust you not to be predatory. I’m not against all depiction of sexual abuse/assault, in fact, I do enjoy stories that have it as an element (an example, though I have not yet read it yet would be The Color Purple by Alice Walker), as it helps me process my own feelings and experiences.
HOWEVER
Not all depictions of sexual abuse/assault are correct. An ao3 noncon fetish fanfic IS NOT the same as a book with a character who deals with sexual abuse. Thats like saying that an offensive caricature is “representation” and being against the caricature’s writing is “erasure” or “censorship”.
That’s the thing that pisses me off about the “antis are against all depictions of sexual abuse/assault!!!” No, I am not against every depiction. I am against *poor* representation of sexual abuse/assault. There is a difference believe it or not.
So yeah, fuck all the way off with that rape culture denialism. Fiction affects reality regardless of whether you like it or not. If it didn’t, proper representation of marginalized groups wouldn’t matter.
