The Tour of The Pennines, was an amazing mix of challenging climbs, amazing descents and stunning scenery. We rode North with the first climb after only 10km known locally as Billy Lane. It was lumpy all the way to the first Stanhope Stop at 37km a great feed stop which allowed us to refuel before tackling Crawleyside (official 100 Climbs number 59), Blanchland to Rookhope which is 10km of uphill, Stone Cairn which summits at 539m and Allenheads climb which summits at 573m, the highest point on the course before heading back to the 2nd Stanhope Feed and tackling the delightful climb of Unthank Bank (official 100 Climbs number 155), easy to understand how it got it’s name! Once we crested the 395m summit we descend then immediately we tackled Bollihope Climb, all the way from 300m to 500m in 1 mile! It was a superb route and a chance for me to explore this little ridden part of the World and really test your legs in preparation for my first #prudentialridelondon in aid of #prostatecanceruk please help support my rides by going to my #JustGiving page found in bio, thank you. https://www.strava.com/activities/2359487797 #tourofthepennines #velo29 #velo20events #primal #motivation #veloweasel #fromwhereiride #cycling #cyclingislife #cyclingaddict #cyclinglifestyle #cyclingphotos #cyclingphoto #rideeverything #cycleculture #cyclestyle #bicyclestyle #bicycleculture #instabike #strava #cyclists #velo #roadslikethese #cyclinglife #instabicycle (at Barnard Castle) https://www.instagram.com/veloweasel/p/BxcVjYehNTY/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1pq696szere8m
