Mobile Wardrobe – Velour by Nostalgi

Year: 2015 Client: Velour by Nostalgi Material: Ash, powdercoated steel, brass Measurements cm: W200 D70 H185 Collaboration with Ida Eklöf Displayed: Vallgatan 12, Gothenburg, Oct 2015 Nordiska Kompaniet, Stockholm, Nov 2016 Twist plays with the boundary between public and private, a changeable frame that highlight each garment as a unique object. The mobile wardrobe consists of a framework in three parts, where the user can change and update the content. Twist was designed for the clothing brand Velour By Nostalgi to expose the spring collection in their store.

The transparent design gives Twist a light expression and enables it to serve as a room divider in addition to its main function. It creates recognition to the crea- tive home through its playful framework and the twist in how the garments are shown. The construction is kept simple but pays attention to details. The materials were chosen with sustainability in mind and with the aim to communicate honesty, which goes in line with the brands philosophy.
