Will I ever be able to draw these old chemical burn marks? Probably not—especially not with lineart. But what I’ve learned is that his scar didn’t turn into contractures like typical burns might. The substance and the way the area was treated more than two decades ago, altered the color and texture of the epithelialized tissue. It’s kinda stiff, not smooth at all. Like a thick, leathery layer that won't move right and isn’t as stretchy—way more rigid. Hard to explain. It affects his movements, yes. And he has to take care of it daily, thoroughly.
