It’s a bit late to be out walking around— past midnight and nearing one a.m., but sleep has escaped him and Taemin isn’t one to lay in bed when the night sky is as beautiful as this. The moon is bright, and the stars are twinkling as he seats himself at a park bench, illuminated by the streetlamps nearby, and who would he be to miss that? But, really, that’s just an excuse.
His thoughts are running wild— dark and dangerous, and he knows that if he stays at home, they’ll only manifest and he’ll do something that he regrets. In all honesty, he doesn’t care what happens to himself, but there are those round him that claim that they do, so, he’s going to try his damnedest to avoid self-destructing.
It’s a few moments later when he hears footsteps that he’s torn from his thoughts, and he tenses slightly, eyes narrowing and returning to the sidewalk as he strains to see who else may be wandering about so late at night. The likelihood of them being a beggar or creep is high, and he’s cautious as he waits to see who emerges from the dark. After all, one can never be too careful. If only for the sake of others.
