Humanoid guards used onboard the SSS Gibraltar. I don't think they ever did come back again -- more of a reflection of the Zhuttsgraadian focus the campaign went on to have. Had the campaign turned towards Venercia, I'm sure things would have gone differently.

This Venercian Mechanical Soldier was the cutting edge secret weapon of the SSS Gibralta, which was surreptitiously ferrying the Unreflecting Mirror. Since it was a last resort, it was not activated correctly by the crew of the ship. This meant that I could use the stat block of a tougher enemy but down scale the CR. I also did that Dishonored 2 "robot enemy in debug mode plays tapes for every conceivable situation, to the point of comedy" thing -- very fun to play.

The world of Skies of Walltestia is a land of floating islands, with three major continents/countries of elevated continental crust that stick out from "Deep Sky." Deep Sky is a layer of clouds that make most of the world's crust completely unknown. In addition, there is an island in the middle that is a steep mountain.

Venercia is a quickly industrializing power. It's the world's first power to use steel clad airships, and it's rapidly growing in hard and soft influence.

Zhuttsgraad is a frigid land and home to the world's last dragonoids: wyverns and drakes. The aristocracy rides these wyverns, a specialty to this continent.

Shinkou Tenkoku is a large, self-isolated continent of many peoples. It has the largest fleet, with unique folding paper diaphragms that allow for an agility that gives them control of the high ground in all encounters.

Besides these lands, the world is enveloped in a a large storm, which has destroyed all attempts to escape. This is why the world is term a cell, as in storm cell.

The discerning reader will notice widershins is backwards from what you might expect. It does go the right way if you imagined sitting at the core of the world, and looking up at the sky.
