There should be a Venom game that is an expressive platformer, if there isn't one already.
Focus on movement, switching between forms, investigative journalism, stealth, and combat. Mutation/cooperation upgrades, and a reputation system (as Eddie, as cryptid, as Venom, as symbiote: civillians, organized crime, unorganized crime, journalism/your boss, the police, scientists that want to study you, etc.
You should be able to swap between controlling the symbiote and controlling Eddie. This usually doesn't matter, but if you get split up by an enemy or on purpose the other part of you gets computer-controlled or stays stationary while you're not focused on them and you can do things that you couldn't with both of you. Time limit if you haven't gotten oxygen-resistance upgrades, probably.
Example movements:
Ways to go up
-jump
-power-jump
-bounce-jump
-leap from all fours
-parkour-run up a building
-parkour-climb up a building (with hand-holds and platforming: drain pipes, windows, existing cracks, ledges, etc)
-climb on a wall like spider-man (sticky)
-climb up a wall like a lizard (claws in cracks/bricks)
-climb up a wall like Disney's Gargoyles (claws crack into brick/cement)
-climb up a wall like a slime-mold (melt into a puddle, use many short pseudopods to climb)
-climb up a wall like a spider (many long limbs)
-use tentacles like a rope(anchor, then climb up strand)
-use tentacles like spider-man webs (anchor, then yank yourself up)
-use tentacles like spider-man webs 2 (anchor midway, get momentum then swing up)
-use tentacles like a rubber band (anchor at destination, then pull back and fling up)
-use tentacles like a slingshot (anchor nearby, then pull back and fling up)
-use tentacles like in carrion game (halfway between spider and spider-man, anchor many strands, absorb old ones as you pass and fling out new ones as you go, holding yourself between structures)
-use tentacles like stairs/ramp (run/walk up slope)
-use tentacles to push you up like a rising pillar
-grow wings and flap to boost up (high level skill prob)
Many of those would be usable in any form, but some are form-specific
And most/all of them could be used in combat or stealth.
How appropriate they are for different surfaces, how fast you go, how stealthy it is, how much damage/reputation it causes, varies by movement type.
Could be comicsverse or movieverse or both.
