But in all seriousness, Marie is a very troubled teenager and suffered from physical abuse from her bio family and has developed violent thoughts and uses the Dark Riot persona as a outlet for those thoughts, Riot (at the start) just sees Marie as a tool to get by on the strange planet she is stranded in and It isn't until their run in with The Purple Devil (another oc of mine) where her self-destructive took over and nearly got them killed that Riot begin to care about Marie as another individual
