Transphobes are really good at twisting speech to make themselves sound reasonable. Acknowledging that trans people exist by using gender neutral language for bodies is "erasing women." Being respectful in the most basic way by using someone's preferred name and pronouns is "violating boundaries." They talk about things like letting women talk about their lives experiences and respecting them when what they're really doing is pushing against any acknowledgement of trans people and our lived experiences. They'll twist the existence of AFAB trans people into an attack against women by AMAB trans people. They'll claim to be defending women (AFAB people) against men (AMAB people) while ignoring all the cis female allies of trans people and how they're hurting AFAB people who are trans.
They basically make themselves sound like the defenders of women by framing the existence of trans people (especially AMAB trans people) as a threat to women. It's insideous and twisted.
